As he is wont to do, Los Angeles Clippers superstar Blake Griffin put on a dunking display on Thursday night. And while it was in a losing effort to the Phoenix Suns by a score of 93-88, Griffin’s thunderous, powerful and flashy slams nevertheless proved to be the most compelling highlights of the night. In total, Griffin threw down three vicious slams against the Suns, but one in particular provided not only the awe-inspiring power, it also delivered a humorous aspect given the presence of Suns oddball — and at least during this play, wise — forward Michael Beasley. The dunk in question is the second of the three dunks in the video. Fed the ball to the right of the hoop courtesy of a nice dish, Griffin pretty much has an uncontested path to the rim, especially after Beasley decides he wants no part in becoming the latest victim of a Blake Griffin posterization. Beasley, seeing Griffin charging his way, simply steps aside and lets the dunking machine do his thing: As mentioned above, wise man, that Beasley. This time. Although no word from Beasley whether or not any of those pesky gremlins were present and if they advised him during his split-second decision-making. Probably not.
