It’s possible,” D’Antoni said. The Lakers’ trip also includes stops in New York on Thursday, Washington on Friday and Philadelphia on Sunday. Nash has missed 18 games because of a small fracture in his fibula. He continues to progress in his recovery, completing resistance training Sunday and shooting free throws. via Los Angeles Times

Nash has nerve irritation in leg?

Steve Nash has been out almost the entire season for the Lakers, and his return to the team may be being delayed by a nerve issue.

Nerve Irritation, Not Fracture, Delaying Steve Nash

Steve Nash’s delayed return to the Los Angeles Lakers has more to do with nerve irritation in his lower left leg than the fracture he suffered, sources told Yahoo! Sports. Nash appeared set to return from a non-displaced fractured left fibula about three to four weeks ago. His fibula has healed well, but what caused the setback was a nerve irritation that surfaced in the leg during...

Steve Nash Out At Least Another Two Weeks

After the loss came more sobering news. Contrary to some speculation, Lakers point guard Steve Nash is unlikely to return to action at any point on the team’s upcoming four-game road trip. “I can’t imagine that,” Nash told USA TODAY Sports. “I would think it will be at least another two weeks. I’m not even running yet.” Nash has missed the last 19 games with a small...

Lakers' Nash feels he'll miss at least two more weeks

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash told USA Today Sports that he's unlikely to play for at least another two weeks, as he continues his rehabilitation from a broken leg. Nash has been out since fracturing his left fibula in a collision with Portland Trail Blazers rookie Damian Lillard on Oct. 31. "I think it will be at least another two weeks," Nash told...

D'Antoni: Possible Nash could return on trip

Steve Nash could return during the Lakers four-game trip that starts Tuesday in Cleveland, Coach Mike DAntoni said Sunday after his teams shoot-around. I wouldnt put my reputation on it. Its possible, DAntoni said. The Lakers trip also includes stops in New York on Thursday, Washington on Friday and Philadelphia on Sunday. Nash has missed 18 games because of a small fracture in...

Maybe it's time to give Lakers some time

It will probably take more than a 38-year old point guard with a bum leg to save the Lakers. But Steve Nash should indeed provide some direction once he returns from a fractured fibula, which has forced him to miss all but the first two games. After all, Nash had his very best seasons under Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni when the two were together in Phoenix. Nash is an exceptional...

Kevin Durant: Kobe Bryant's an 'old fart'

Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant, who is now at 10,517 career points after scoring 36 in the Thunder's 114-108 victory over the Lakers Friday night, remembers growing up and watching Kobe Bryant dominate.  “I didn't really get to see a lot of Jordan in his prime,” said Durant, who then playfully took a jab at Bryant. “But seeing Kobe, I know he's an old fart.”...

Steve Nash could return for Lakers road-trip

Steve Nash is hoping to return to the Los Angeles Lakers lineup Tuesday in Cleveland.  However, coach Mike D'Antoni told Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times that, “I wouldn’t put my reputation on it. It’s possible." Nash has missed 18 games this season because of a small fracture in his fibula.  D'Antoni said Nash's attitude is more upbeat as he gets closer...

Staples Center named one of NBA's best arenas

Staples Center, home of the Lakers and Clippers, was featured in the November issue of Stadium Journey Magazine as one of the NBA's best arenas. With profiles on the Toyota Center (Houston Rockets), The Palace (Detroit Pistons) and Barclays Center (Brooklyn Nets), Staples is singled out for improvements made over the off-season. First and foremost, Stadium Journey notes the...

Lakers regressing under D'Antoni

LOS ANGELES -- Another Lakers' game Sunday night and another performance devoid of defensive energy and intensity, resulting in a 117-110 loss to the Utah Jazz at Staples Center. "We're just not very good right now," said head coach Mike D'Antoni. That's the understatement of the season. A Laker team, which was supposed to be a legitimate title hopeful...

The New NBA Season And Great Expectations, Dec. 11, 2012

Well about one quarter into the new season and  a few observations can be made. For one thing, it looks like those big deals bringing Steve Nash and Dwight Howard to the Lakers have been a little less than successful. There were two good reasons to be a little doubtful of the initial rush to claim new Laker superpower status. One, there's the matter of age. The Lakers are getting...
