The latest in the saga that is JR Smith’s life was him threatening Pistons G Brandon Jennings on Twitter. Subsequently he was fined by the NBA, but this kind of behavior isn’t anything new from JR. CBS Sports is reporting that even Knicks Coach Mike Woodson has reached a ceiling. Mike Woodson was “not happy” with J.R. Smith for his tweets directed at Pistons guard Brandon Jennings, and he said that if Smith keeps putting himself in these positions, “eventually no team is going to want to deal with you.” “I was not happy about that and that’s why we had a behind-the-door meeting with he and Chris [on Thursday] because it’s ridiculous,” Woodson said during his weekly radio interview on ESPN New York Friday. “There’s got to come a time where you stop putting yourself in that position. It’s going to come a time when you keep doing it, eventually no team is going to want to deal with you. You got to learn from it. Those are the things where I’m trying to get this young man to.” The problem with JR Smith is neverending. Smith is an ultimate green light both on and off the court. He doesn’t show any pause in his actions, or remorse for that matter. Smith is now 28 and has played nine seasons in the NBA. His behavior isn’t because he’s too young to know better. It’s simply because he’s lasted this long doing the same things, so there really is no reason for him to make any changes now.

J.R. Smith: 'Threat' not intended

The NBA is investigating the Twitter feud between New York's J.R. Smith and Detroit's Brandon Jennings over the presence of Smith's brother, Chris, on the Knicks' roster, sources close to the process told's Marc Stein. The teams meet Tuesday in Detroit, but the league office is expected to rule before then whether anything said between the two can be...

Another ‘terrible’ game from J.R. Smith

The calendar says November. But it certainly looks like last May for the Knicks J.R. Smith. Smith, in his fourth game back from an NBA-imposed five game suspension after a rehab for offseason knee surgery, shot Saturday as if the Hawks were the smothering Pacers of last season’s playoffs. When Smith finally exited with 3:41 left in the Hawks 110-90 wipeout victory, he wore a...

Mike Woodson on JR Smith: Eventually no team will want to deal with him

Mike Woodson once again had harsh words for J.R. Smith, who was fined $25,000 on Friday for his tweets directed at Brandon Jennings this week. The beef started when Jennings tweeted to say how he couldn’t believe JR’s little brother Chris was on an NBA roster while two other worthy players weren’t. JR responded to […]

JR Smith Fined $25k for Hostile & Inappropriate Language on Twitter

JR Smith threatened to send the goons to see Brandon Jennings.  The NBA didn’t think that was too funny and now JR’s check will be a little short. RT @NBAPR: J.R. Smith fined $25K for directing hostile & inappropriate language to another player via Twitter, in violation of NBA rules. — NBA on ESPN (@ESPNNBA) November 15, 2013

Mike Woodson, NBA not happy with J.R. Smith

Mike Woodson was "not happy'' with J.R. Smith for his tweets directed at Pistons guard Brandon Jennings, and he said that if Smith keeps putting himself in these positions, "eventually no team is going to want to deal with you.'' The NBA was unhappy with Smith, too, fining him $25,000 on Friday "for directing hostile and inappropriate language to another...

Chris Smith Has A Tattoo Of His Older Brother J.R.

Chris Smith, aka “maybe the worst player in the history of the [NBA] summer league”, is currently a member of the New York Knicks — a decision based solely on the fact he is the younger brother of J.R. Smith. Clearly, loyalty runs deep in the Knicks organization when it comes to charity cases, but Chris’ loyalty is to his brother, who he literally wears on his back. Chris...

Report: Mike Woodson under pressure from front office to change starting lineup

The New York Knicks have had their fair share of struggles this year. That definitely hasn’t gone un-noticed by the front office, and now it’s looking like head coach Mike Woodson is getting the squeeze from the team’s front office to do something about it… or the hot seat might start heating up at a much faster rate. According to CBS sports, while Woodson isn’t on the...

Mike Woodson Might Send J.R. Smith to the Bench

I guess when you’re only shooting 22% on the season, you’re subject to getting sent back to the bench. Things aren’t great for the Knicks right now. After losing Tyson Chandler, the team has struggled to stop anybody and has suffered blowout loses to the Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs. Apparently, J.R. Smith might […]

NBA fines Smith for Twitter rant

The NBA has fined Knicks guard J.R. Smith for his Twitter exchange with Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Jennings.

Woodson under pressure from front office to change lineups

As the New York Knicks' disastrous start to the season continues to unfold, the pressure continues to mount on the team to find a solution. The New York Daily Newsreports that while coach Mike Woodson isn't on the hot seat at the moment, the front office is making demands on him to change his lineups approach. The fall guy eventually will be Mike Woodson even though the...

Report: Knicks Front Office Pressuring Mike Woodson To Start Kenyon Martin

I guess we now know why Mike Woodson is having so much trouble find a lineup he likes. The New York Daily News is reporting that Woodson isn’t on the hot seat yet, but the Knicks front office is putting daily pressure on the embattled coach to change his lineup around. Despite the Knicks’ 3-6 start and five straight home losses, Woodson is not in imminent danger, according...

Report: Knicks Front Office Pushing Mike Woodson to Start Kenyon Martin

Lots of reports in and around the New York Knicks. The franchise seems unsettled, and I think the impending free agency of one Carmelo Anthony is making everyone in the Knicks front office sweat a little bit. The latest report is the front office attempting to force head coach Mike Woodson to start Kenyon Martin. […]

Mike Woodson On J.R. Smith’s Twitter Fine: ‘Eventually No Team Is Going To Want To Deal With You’

Knicks coach Mike Woodson was not happy, to say the least, of J.R. Smith’s latest incident that cost him $25,000.  Woodson’s response to Smith being fined for his hostile tweets directed at Brandon Jennings was blunt, “eventually no team is going to want to deal with you.” According to Al Iannazzone of Newsday:  Knicks coach Mike Woodson said on ESPN New York 98.7 FM...

Knicks’ Amar’e Stoudemire looking for increased minutes

The New York Knicks want to protect forward Amar’e Stoudemire‘s knees, so much that he is seeing only around ten minutes per game.  The lack of minutes is getting old for Stoudemire and he’s getting frustrated with the limits placed on him. As reported by Ian Begley at,  Stoudemire has played in six games this season and sat out one game of each back-to-back set...
