To lighten the mood before what's sure to be an intense and gritty first round playoffs' matchup between the Knicks and Celtics, here are a couple of video clips highlighting a couple major contributors to New York's successful regular season.First, in honor of Knicks' head coach Mike Woodson taking home "Coach of the Month" honors for the season's final month of April (coincidentally, whereas Woodson took home the award for Eastern Conference coach, his former boss and past Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni won the award in the Western Conference), here's a look back at just about all of Coach Woodson's in-game reactions throughout the season.Next up, though Rasheed Wallace called it quits earlier this week and retired from playing basketball, he should be given props for remaining behind the Knicks' bench during the team's season-finale victory on Wednesday over the Atlanta Hawks. The big man, who is expected to remain around the team throughout the postseason anyway, leaves behind a career in which he set the all-time league record in technical fouls. Watch below for one of his funnier (and peculiar) ejections. And lastly, if you're looking for some good hype music to pump you up in time for the postseason, there's obviously no library better to turn to than that of "A Tribe Called Quest's" selection. This past week (April 17th, to be exact) my pal and KnicksJournal.com Podcast co-host Phife Dawg and his group-mates celebrated the 23rd anniversary of their debut album. Take a listen below to hear one of my favorite songs (a great choice for any playoff playlist) off the record.
