The departure of Monta Ellis will ultimately end up being a blessing in disguise for this Milwaukee roster. A ball dominant shooting guard, playing the point and shooting a paltry 28 percent from three, is the type of player that can destroy the flow of any offense. During his time with the Golden State Warriors, Ellis was known for shooting and willing his team back into games. In his tenure with the Bucks, he was known more for shooting the team out of games. While Ellis did average 19.4 points per game last season, he did it while leading the league in shot attempts per game. Monta Ellis is nothing more than a high volume shooting two-guard, who is simply just not worth the contract he sought. Milwaukee will be forever thankful they did not retain his services.
