Milwaukee Bucks Reportedly Sign Former Cavs Player

Marques Bolden most recently played in the NBA during the 2020-21 season when he was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Last year, he played in three G League regular season games and averaged 4.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field (he also appeared in three Showcase Cup games).

On Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Bolden will sign a two-way deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Via Charania: "The Milwaukee Bucks are signing center Marques Bolden to a two-way deal, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The former Duke big man will enter his third NBA season after spending parts of 2019-20, 2020-21 seasons in Cleveland."

Bolden initially went undrafted in 2019 after playing three seasons of college for Duke.

During his final year, he averaged 5.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 57.9% from the field.

Bolden has played seven games in the NBA (with the Cavs), and has career averages of 1.0 points and 1.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 33.3% from the field.

He has also spent the last two preseasons with the Bucks.

Since it's a two-way deal, Bolden will likely play for the Wisconsin Herd (G League) and the Bucks next season.

The Bucks will play their first game of the 2023-24 regular season on October 26 when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.

They are coming off a year where they were the first seed in the Eastern Conference but lost to the Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
