Sources out of New York are claiming that Carmelo Anthony and wife, Lala (Vazquez) Anthony have been living separately. This seems to make sense as Carmelo Anthony lost his cool after Boston Celtic big man, Kevin Garnett allegedly said ‘Melo’s wife Lala, tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.
After nearly coming to blows a few times during and after the game, Carmelo was shaken up by long time NBA agitator and trash talk specialist, Kevin Garnett. The MVP candidate has lost his cool seemingly more than ever this year as he already has 8 technical fouls this season. Could this be a direct correlation with ‘Melo’s personal life?
According to the New York Post:
Carmelo and La La Anthony have been living separately, sources say, but friends close to the Knick’s wife say she’ll stand by her man and won’t split from the NBA star.
“It is true they haven’t seen much of each other in the past few months,” says a friend of the couple. “She’s been away a lot filming her show, ‘La La’s Full Court Life,’ in London, New York and LA. They are not separated and are still together. She and Melo have a house in LA — so she’s always there when she’s doing auditions.”
But others say they’ve been going through a more rocky period. “They have been living separately for several months now,” says a source. “She’s been living in LA while Carmelo has been in New York.” The source added, “La La used to go out to the games and wanted to be seen . . . now she’s always off doing her own thing.”
Then things get even more interesting. The Post reported that Lala has been partying without Melo which has “made him angry” and the NYDailyNews reported that both were separated on New Year’s Eve.
Anthony and his wife have been living apart for at least two months, and La La rang in the New Year without him in Miami’s South Beach, the source said.
Lala’s tweeted this on New Year’s Eve.
