Dwight Howard is a number of things. A coward, a backstabber, a petulant child, and a very good basketball player who is a free agent after playing one year with the Los Angeles Lakers. We can now also add that he is a turkey. Or, he’s going to be the voice of a turkey.

According to Deadline.com, Howard is going to voice a turkey in a movie that is set to release in November of 2013:

Los Angeles Lakers star Dwight Howard has found something to keep him busy during the off-season. He has joined the voice cast of Relativity and Reel FX’s Free Birds. He plays Cold Turkey, one of the Wild Turkeys that Jake (voiced by Woody Harrelson) and Reggie (voiced by Owen Wilson) meet when they travel back in time to try and get turkeys off the Thanksgiving Day menu.

Holy crap, this is an actual movie plot? Somebody actually green-lit this movie and expect people to watch it. Maybe this is why Dwight isn’t looking to stick around in Hollywood, if this is all he could get as far as movie roles. I mean, this makes Kazaam look Oscar-worthy. Okay, Razzy-worthy. Kazaam was so bad that the Razzies wanted noting to do with it.

But seriously, Dwight Howard really is a turkey.

Why Wrigley Field still matters at 100

Most stadiums are just places to put butts. Like a living organism, it takes time for these inanimate objects to grow into something more meaningful. The majority of Major League ballparks have not yet had this opportunity — 24 of the 30 have been built in my lifetime, and I’m still young enough to have lived my whole life within the frame of MTV’s existence. Like a good child...
