From Larry Brown Sports:

Linsanity is in full effect in New York. Point guard Jeremy Lin has led the 11-15 Knicks to three straight wins since stepping in and playing major minutes. He scored 25 points and recorded 7 assists off the bench in a win over the Nets Saturday, he had 28 and 8 in 44 minutes against the Jazz on Monday, and he posted 23 points and 10 assists in a road win Wednesday. He's taken an improbable path to success.
The Harvard grad received no scholarship offers coming out of high school despite leading Palo Alto to the California Division II state title. In college he led the Crimson to a season record for wins while becoming an All-Ivy League player. He was not drafted after Harvard, but he did sign with the Warriors. He played 29 games for Golden State last season and was cut in December. The Rockets also cut him before the Knicks picked him up.
Lin's contract with the Knicks didn't become guaranteed until Tuesday, so he was staying at his brother's apartment until he learned of his future. And where has he been sleeping? On the living room couch, of course.
Now that his contract is guaranteed, he'll likely seek a more convenient living arrangement. Then again, nothing he's done recently has followed convention. Maybe he'll continue to stay at his brother's for good luck.
