Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins ran into a bit of a dilemma recently. Seems he had no other choice but to get rid of his beloved 10-month-old English bulldog, and instead of selling the pup using the normal avenues (ie. pet adoption agencies), Perk made a plea to his over 55,000 Twitter followers in the hopes that one of them would take the dog, asking price $1,500, off his hands. Surprising really once you see the mug on the big man’s adorable puppy… Who wouldn’t love a face like that, what with the ridiculous underbite, piggish nose, and overactive salivary glands? Apparently a lot of Perkins’ followers, because not even an hour after putting the request on the Twitterverse, the dog was gone.   • I cant believe u want to get rid of ur english bulldog my mom had 2 of them they r the sweetest gentlest dog out there.They r great with anyone kids,babies,grown ups.I just hope u will be very picky who u sell it 2.I just hope they treat it really good.I also hope u will check out the ppl that do buy him and not just sell him 2 first person who comes along with the money.Plz check the person out really good first check their home check everything.These dogs do have medical problems make sure who takes him can afford 2 take him 2 Dr.if he needs medical care.Sounds like u gave him a good home I just hope he finds someone as loving as u were 2 him.Plz be careful who u sell him 2 not just any fly by night person with money.
  • I think the last line needs a re-write. "Hopefully the new owners will take BETTER care of him than Perk" and keeps him this time. I understand the mistake they made, I applaud his appeal for a good home (even if he really meant, "best home with $1500 quick bucks"), but I'm betting there wasn't a whole lot of intelligent decision-making happening in the Perk household regarding that particular family member.
