From Larry Brown Sports:

You know how they say you learn something new every day? Well today, I learned something new about Kobe Bryant. We already knew Kobe is one of the more cocky players in the NBA, which is one of the characteristics that makes him one of the greatest of all time. However, he may be even more comfortable with who he is than some of us thought.
In an article he wrote for iVillage on Thursday that was aimed at encouraging people to vote, Kobe talked about how having children with Vanessa Bryant resulted in the couple being more concerned about what goes on in the world. Prior to that, they cared more about other things such as -- well, that's where it gets interesting.
Neither of us grew up in politically charged households so the issues weren't things we were necessarily excited to read about and discuss to say the least. It was ESPN for me and "Carrie Fever" (Sex and the City) for her. (Yes, I watched the show and loved it... It was quite "informative.")
Five-time NBA champion, future Hall of Famer, scorer of 81 points in a single game and "Sex and the City" fan? Apparently so. I ain't mad at him. I may not watch the show, but I've seen the movie. So what?
