Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin and 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model Kate Upton reportedly got “very cozy” at a New York City hot spot.

E! News reports that Griffin, 24, and teammate DeAndre Jordan met a group of friends at Beauty & Essex around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. An hour later, Upton walked in to join Griffin and his friends.

A source said that Griffin and Upton had a “great time” and “were cuddling and holding hands, although they were not seen making out. They seemed pretty cute together.”

Griffin and Upton’s night on the town occurred on the same day that Upton slighted her ex-boyfriend, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlanderin this tweet to Verlander’s best friend, Frank Viola III.

Meantime, at Beauty & Essex, Griffin and Upton ate empanadas, lobster tacos and stuffed peppers. Griffin’s friends reportedly downed shots of Don Julio Tequila.

Later Griffin, Upton and the group headed to Avenue nightclub, where “they closed the place down.”

It sure sounds like Griffin and Upton had a great time.

Kate Upton does nude photo shoot on a horse

Kate Upton is having a busy week. Rumored to be getting rather close to LA Clipper forward Blake Griffin in NYC during the week, she also took a shot at former boyfriend Justin Verlander, sending this tweet (that was soon deleted) out to the best friend of the Tigers’ ace. Most importantly, though, Upton did a nude photo shoot on a horse that TMZ got video of.

Clippers to give up the two first rounders, deal could be done today

ESPN Although sources stressed that final details were still being worked out, one trade would be a straight player swap sending Clippers center DeAndre Jordan for Garnett, with the second move calling for Boston to receive two first-round draft picks as compensation for freeing Rivers from his Celtics contract. However, ESPN.com has learned the teams will have at least one more...

Doc-KG-Jordan trade simply doesn't make sense

Please God, let Ainge have a revelation before it's too late. A couple of days ago, I wrote an open letter addressed to Danny Ainge, hoping that he'd realize he had the upper hand in this deal and would at least manage to offload a 5 mil contract onto the Clippers. Apparently that didn't go well. So here's my second attempt to explain why this proposed trade, i.e...

Report: Lord Stern forcing Celtics/Clips to renegotiate trade

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein: Source tells ESPN that Celts & Clips have today begun discussing new trade scenarios to try to satisfy league’s misgivings on these deals Last tweet means that Celts/Clips deals — IF agreed — won’t necessarily take form of DeAndre Jordan & two firsts going to Boston And from Sport City’s Mark Heisler: NBA has problem w/twin transactions...

Everything We Thought We Knew We Didn't Know

For over a week now, we've been told that there was a deal on the table that would send Kevin Garnett to the Clippers in exchange for DeAndre Jordan. There was also a deal that would release Doc from his Celtics' contract to allow him to sign a similar contract with the Clippers. All this was according to sources, of course. Today, we see this in the Herald: Though...

Kate Upton Throws a Little Jab at Justin Verlander via Twitter

If we needed any confirmation that Kate Upton doesn’t like Justin Verlander as much as she allegedly used to, a happy birthday tweet she sent to Frank Viola III on Wednesday confirmed it. What does Frank Viola III, a son of the famed left-handed pitcher with a similar name, have to do with ex-SuperCouple Kate ‘n’ Justin? He’s one of Verlander‘s best friends and, apparently...

Report: Clippers Plan to Finalize Doc Rivers Deal Thursday, Trade DeAndre Jordan, Two First-Round Picks to Celtics

Clippers management was thinking that two first-round picks may be a bit too much to give up for a Hall of Fame-level coach. Clippers point guard Chris Paul was thinking it wasn’t much at all. What both sides can agree on, though, is that the Clippers — draft picks or not — are better off if Paul stays around, and that means making the deal for Celtics coach Doc Rivers happen...

Report: NBA will not allow Clippers and Celtics deal to happen

For weeks we have been hearing about a potential blockbuster deal in which the Boston Celtics would send Kevin Garnett to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for DeAndre Jordan (and possibly Eric Bledsoe) along with draft picks. The Celtics would then release Doc Rivers from his contract, while he signs a new deal with the Clippers. Talks have been hot and cold for the past two...

Clippers and Celtics trade talks back on

Surprise, talks are back on between the Clippers and the Celtics. The catalyst for those reignited conversations? Chris Paul’s desire to get it done allegedly. It’s no secret the Clippers are doing whatever they can to keep CP3 happy and ready to resign with the franchise once free agency kicks off July 1st. The Clippers walked away from the negotiating table, balking at Boston’s...

Is Miguel Cabrera this generation’s Hank Aaron?

On June 20, 2003, Miguel Cabrera struck out in his first big league at bat.  He’d get the last laugh however. In the bottom of the eleventh inning the 20-year-old rookie hit a two-run home run to help his then-Florida Marlins to a 3-1 victory over the then-Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Now, I bring that up only to awkwardly segue into this. Friday, the reigning American League MVP turned...

The NFL Draft season is busy for analysts and reporters. Many people have feelings on what a team will do while others claim to have sources that also feel what a team will do.
