Via Speleb:

The Brooklyn Nets are on track to make the 2013 NBA Playoffs, but Nets forward Kris Humphries may not be playing in them.
TMZ reports that Humphries has decided to skip the playoff games if his divorce trial, which begins on May 6, occurs on game days.
On Oct. 31, 2011, reality star Kim Kardashian filed papers to divorce Humphries after just 72 days of marriage. Two months later, Humphries filed for an annulment alleging the marriage was a fraud and a publicity stunt to generate TV ratings for Kardashian’s reality show.
So, this case has been dragging on for a ridiculously long time.
Now the Nets are in second place behind the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division.
Here’s how the scheduling works out:
- Apr. 20: NBA Playoffs begin
- May 6: Humphries/Kardashian divorce trial begins
- June 6: NBA Finals begin
The Nets pay Humphries $12 million a year — that’s more money than he stands to collect in a divorce proceeding because he reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement.
He could settle the case before the trial, but there’s no indication that’s going to happen given then all the delays up to this point.
The divorce trial also promises to be a media circus.
Hopefully, Humphries changes his mind and settles the case early instead of dealing with a major distraction at the most important time for his team and his own NBA career.
