If the NBA’s resident Discount Double-Checker is going to run his mouth, it might carry more weight if his team could actually beat the team he’s speaking ill of. The Chicago Bulls built up a 20-plus point lead Friday night against the New York Knicks — in Madison Square Garden, no less — before easing up on the gas pedal en route to a 108-101 win. Afterwards, 3-point specialist Steve Novak fired a shot at Bulls guard (and former Knick) Nate Robinson, referring to the diminutive spark plug as “Nathan”, and informing him that he can be “just like me” with his on-court antics. Well, “Nathan” got the last laugh, which is what the Bulls seem to be doing lately, thanks to a 3-0 record this season against their big-city rival.

Nate Robinson saw the response and took to Twitter to throw a little jab of his own.

Knicks Injury News: Marcus Camby Update

The New York Knicks had to deal with playing minus Marcus Camby for much of the season already, so perhaps playing without him again will not be too big a deal.  But it's never a good thing to lose any player, even a role player.  Camby re-injured his foot in the Knicks loss to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday.  He had an MRI yesterday confirming a strain of the plantar fasciitis...

J.R. Smith dunks on Ian Mahinmi

This is becoming a nightly occurrence a highlight play from J.R. Smith. In the Knicks game agasint the Pacers last night Smith was once again up to his old tricks. Late in the 1st quarter Smith has the ball near the three point line, and then he decides to attack the rim. NEW YORK -- Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points and Chris Copeland added 22 as the New York Knicks ended their three-game losing streak and the New Orleans Hornets' four-game win streak Sunday at Madison Square Garden. Hawks-Bulls Preview

While the Chicago Bulls have enjoyed some big wins on the road lately, they haven't been able to match that success at home. The Atlanta Hawks are hoping that trend continues as they look to move past their recent road struggles. The Bulls will try to avoid a third consecutive loss at the United Center on Monday night when they host the Hawks, who have dropped four straight...

POTD 1/10/13: DeMarcus Cousins on Bernard James

Today happens to be one of those days where I wish I could choose two winners, as both JR Smith and DeMarcus Cousins are entirely deserving of this particular POTD.  Each player threw down one of two remarkable slam dunks that, although very different, are almost equally impressive.  Smith took flight from the fringe of the painted area and, having launched off of his right foot...

Knicks 108, Bulls 101

NEW YORK -- Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics might have gotten under New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony's skin this week, but the Chicago Bulls should be getting on all of the Knicks' nerves by now. Luol Deng scored 33 points and Carlos Boozer added 17 as the Bulls moved to 3-0 over the Knicks this season with a 108-101 win at Madison Square Garden on Friday night...

Hornets-Knicks Preview

A visit from one of the Western Conference's worst teams would appear to give the New York Knicks a prime opportunity to snap a season-high skid. The New Orleans Hornets, though, arrive at Madison Square Garden riding their longest win streak of the season, and Greivis Vasquez along with a healthier Eric Gordon have played significant roles in that run. The Hornets' backcourt...

After three consecutive playoff-less seasons, Rex Ryan is desperate to get back. It was one week ago when WEEI radio host Kirk Minihane unleashed a vulgar rant in the direction of Erin Andrews.  Minihane called her a “gutless b*tch” which clearly crossed any line of decency, even for the widening cesspool that is sports talk radio.  The station issued a statement from Minihane apologizing for the comments, although there’s no evidence that Minihane was...

Sixers could help facilitate a Kevin Love to Cleveland deal

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ goal of adding Kevin Love to the LeBron James/Kyrie Irving equation in C-Town has taken so many twists that most fans viewing from the seat of their pants are probably ready for this entire saga to just end, regardless of what the outcome is.
