The Steve Nash sweepstakes in underway, and according to Marc Stein, Nash’s preferred choices are the the New York Knicks and the Toronto Raptors. While the Raptors can offer Nash the opportunity to be a hometown hero, the Knicks are more of a “contending team”, which is what the 2x MVP is searching for at this point in his career. I’ve said from the beginning, if the Knicks can get creative and make an offer in the ballpark of what Toronto can put on the table, I don’t see Nash choosing the Raps over the Knickerbockers. Now that Glen Grunwald has put together a creative sign-and-trade that could get Nash an estimated $9M/year as opposed to Toronto’s $12M/year, Nash making Manhattan his permanent home seems more and more realistic.  The sign-and-trade would include the Knicks shipping Jerome Jordan, Dan Gadzuric, Toney Douglas, and Landry Fields to Phoenix which would then allow them so sign unrestricted free agent Steve Nash to a 3yr/$27M contract.  Nash, who met with the Toronto R...
