The 2012 Los Angeles Lakers are clearly the biggest disappointment so far in the NBA. They should be getting some help with point guard Steve Nash returning from injury. Nash has only played 2 games with the Lakers and that was with ex-coach Mike Brown.
Nash is expected to play on Christmas day according to Mark Medina of the Daily News.
There’s probably a low chance tomorrow,” Nash said following practice here at the Lakers’ facility. “But I’m definitely playing on Christmas for sure.”
If the Lakers even have hopes of making the playoffs this season, they need a healthy Steve Nash. I mean currently the Lakers are using Chris Duhon and Darius Morris at the point. Back-up point guard Steve Blake is also out with an injury.
I am sure Nash can’t wait to play in Mike D’Antoni system again.
One current Laker who isn’t buying isn’t the new Laker system is big man Pau Gasol. Gasol has been critical of the new offense and Kobe Bryant basically told him to grow up. Gasol was also unhappy to...
BEST OF MAXIM
OAKLAND The most important player on the Los Angeles Lakers' star-studded team sat wrapped in a black robe at his locker after the game, his body hurting, his words at times whispered, the exhaustion emanating from him in waves. He'd just returned from seven weeks off with a leg injury and somehow managed to play 41 dazzling minutes and use them to spin the Lakers into an...
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash looked like his old self as he made his return to the court for Saturday's NBA game against the Golden State Warriors.
It was Nash's first game back since being injured in the second game of the season. Nash scored 12 points and had 9 assists, including some nice alley-oop passes to teammates Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant.
Steve Nash returned Saturday against Golden State, his first game since Oct. 31.
The Lakers point guard missed 24 games because of a small fracture in his lower left leg.
With Steve Blake also sidelined by injury, the Lakers have had to go with Chris Duhon and Darius Morris as their point guards.
Blake has started shooting after practices but is still out at least four more weeks...
The Los Angeles Lakers got Pau Gasol back this week and they were hoping to get Steve Nash back as well. Nash's return is coming, but he may not be ready this week. The Lakers point guard has been participating in full-contact practices, but he may not be ready to go Saturday. Mark Medina of the Daily News said Nash will be iffy for today's game, but he will be ready to go...
Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Nash started Saturday night in the Lakers' 118-115 overtime victory over the Golden State Warriors after missing 24 games because of a small fracture in his lower left leg.
Nash played 41 minutes and shot 5 of 8 for 12 points with nine assists. The two-time MVP was injured Oct. 31 against Portland.
Coach Mike D'Antoni told the media before...
Tweet The Los Angeles Lakers may soon get a respite from their struggles this season. ESPN LA reported in an article that, “Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Nash went through his first full-contact practice without any setbacks to his broken left leg on Thursday.” It’s possible that Nash will be available for the Lakers’ game [...]
The Lakers defeated the Warriors 118-115 in overtime in Steve Nash's first game back after missing the previous 24 with a fractured left fibula.
Lakers guard Steve Nash practices for a second day, plans to return
And they talked and they talked.
Now, this is good for Lakers fans because it seems to have brought forth a resolution for the lack of chemistry that is on the court for LA’s bigs. Rumor has it that Coach D has vowed to no longer bench Gasol during crucial minutes at the end of games. Which was a huge problem for the Spanish post man. He has also made it clear he’s...

Here’s part of my afternoon Twitter exchange with Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix.
I’m intrigued by this deal. Pau Gasol would be a huge help to Kevin Garnett, the Celtics jump shot centric offense and (lack of ) rebounding.
I’d hate to give up a decade of Avery Bradley for 3 years of Gasol. And a move like this is extremely short-sighted. But I really believe Gasol could...
Photo Credit: The Associated PressIt didn’t look good for the Lakers halfway through Saturday’s game in Golden State. It looked even worse after three quarters, as the Warriors turned their 8-point halftime lead to 13 going into the fourth quarter. But when the final buzzer sounded at the end of overtime, the Lakers were the ones that walked off the court celebrating their 118...
