Being 5-9 in the NBA really can set you apart from everyone else, and that is what it has been like for Chicago Bulls point guard Nate Robinson in his seven-year career.
However, Robinson isn’t your average 5-9 guy. He already is a three-time Slam Dunk Contest champion and is a damn good basketball player. The 28-year-old has been filling in nicely for Derrick Rose at point guard this season, as he has been averaging 12 points and four assists per game.
This season, Krypto-Nate and veteran shooting guard Rip Hamilton have been in a pretty funny battle on Twitter and Instagram, trying to make fun of each other as much as they can. On Tuesday night, Hamilton got himself a point.
After the Bulls’ 96-87 victory over the New Orleans Hornets, Hamilton put this picture up of Robinson’s locker on Instagram:
The ball boy got word that @naterobinson was coming to play the Hornets . So he gave him his own special hanging bar for his cloths. Guess which locker is his. Lol #bulls #bullsnation #cv4life #truestory
That’s pretty hilarious. I just wonder what Robinson’s reaction was to this.

Finally some good news for Bulls fans! According to @KCJHoop, Derrick Rose participated in 5 on 5 practice earlier today. The Chicago Bulls want to get out of paying the luxury tax and the most likely casualty could be starting shooting guard Rip Hamilton.
CBS Sports' Ken Berger reported that the Bulls are willing to trade Hamilton "in a deal that makes sense and saves
them a year on the repeater-tax rolls."
This makes sense with the emergence of Jimmy Butler, who came on strong...
Is he, or isn’t he? Despite saying his knee “still isn’t feeling right” and that he can’t dunk yet, eyewitnesses say Derrick Rose looked “really good” and is “ready to go” after participating in his first 5-on-5 scrimmage at practice on Monday.
According to ESPN Chicago:

Reggie told ESPN Chicago that the Bulls lack of adding talent around Derrick could play a “big factor” in whether or not he returns this season.
“What have you pieced together? Have you made any moves? Have you made any trades to get better? You know all roads to the championship lead through Miami,” Reggie Rose told ESPNChicago.com. “What pieces have you put...
The Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose may not be appearing on an NBA basketball court, at least in a game action any time soon, but he is appearing on pizza boxes. The Bulls Derrick Rose, pizza do I need to throw in the Blues Brothers somehow just so you can have all the Chicago stereotypes in one place?

Rose is getting closer to returning, but there is no need to push it. He should only come back when he is comfortable. That could be a week from now or next season, but he is taking the proper baby steps.
Derrick Rose checked off another box for a possible return to action. He practiced five-on-five for the first time this season on Monday afternoon.

Bulls star Derrick Rose is managed by his older brother Reggie. Derrick is still working his way back from a torn ACL that occurred during last season’s playoffs but his brother feels the franchise isn’t doing enough to surround Rose with quality players. As yesterday’s trade deadline passed with no movement from Chicago, Reggie let it be known he wasn’t happy.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Even if Derrick Rose wasn't ready to return, the Chicago Bulls got healthier as a team over the All-Star break -- and it showed.
Luol Deng scored 20 points, Kirk Hinrich returned from a seven-game absence with 10 assists, and the Chicago Bulls snapped a two-game skid with a 96-87 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday night.
