For some reason, the NBA decided to feature basketball highlights of Milwaukee Bucks stars Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis in a commercial set to the opening title theme of the television show "Laverne and Shirley":
Not sure what the NBA was going for here. Aside from "Laverne & Shirley" being set in Milwaukee, there's not much in common between Jennings and Ellis and the iconic 70s television show. However, this could have been funny if they actually got Jennings and Ellis to reenact the opening title sequence, like they did in the Wanye's World movie:

DOING IT OUR WAY
In a amusing little video from the marketing wizards at the NBA, Milwaukee Bucks stars and presumed best buddies Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis have been likened to the two most famous residents of Milwaukee, fictional or perhaps even otherwise, save for maybe Jeffrey Dahmer (but why would I go there, for crying out loud?): Laverne De Fazio & Shirley Feeney. For all of you...
At the center of trade rumors leading up to Thursday’s trade deadline, J.J. Redick thought he was prepared to be dealt to another team, but he wasn’t. The six-year-veteran says he was “shocked” after learning of a trade that would send him to the playoff contending Bucks.
According to Josh Robbins, Orlando Sentinel:
“I think you can prepare yourself as much as you think...
Ok kids, time to take a trip in our Hot Tub Time Machine all the way back to 1977. There was this show on ABC called “Laverne & Shirley” and it took place in Milwaukee. It featured two besties who were just trying to make it in the world. Fast forward to 2013 and the Bucks have incorporated the theme song into a promo for Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis.
MILWAUKEE -- Shortly after the game ended, J.J. Redick sent a quick text message to his dad to tell him he thinks his new team is going to win a lot of games down the stretch.
Saturday night just wasn't going to be one of them.
The new-look Bucks played well for the majority of the game just as they did against Brooklyn on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Yet again, Milwaukee...
J.J. Redick made his Milwaukee Bucks debut, playing 35 minutes off the bench and scoring 16 points (4-of-9 field goals and 7-of-7 free throws).
The sharpshooter added a three, three rebounds and seven assists. Not a bad start in the Brew City.
Luc Mbah a Moute looked to take a hit, playing just 15 minutes (six points and four rebounds). Gustavo Ayon and Ish Smith both picked...
ST. FRANCIS, Wis. After acquiring J.J. Redick in a trade with the Magic on Thursday, Bucks general manager John Hammond's mind traveled back to a story his former boss used to tell him about a three-guard rotation working.
The general manager of the Detroit Pistons, Joe Dumars, described how he and Isiah Thomas gave up minutes to Vinnie Johnson in order to help the Pistons...
Good thing the NBA waited until a day after the trade deadline to release this new Laverne & Shirley themed BIG commercial featuring the Bucks starting backcourt of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis – both of whom were tossed around in trade scenarios. It’s a fun commercial, definitely worth a watch:
J.J. Redick made his Bucks debut Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks at BMO Harris Bradley Center. The seven-year-veteran received a warm welcome from the crowd.
The reality is still setting in that J.J. Redick is no longer a member of the Orlando Magic.
He was with the team in Dallas yesterday and returned home after the announcement of the deal before heading off to Milwaukee this morning. It was an emotional day for both Magic fans and for Redick.
In two interviews -- with Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel and David Baumann...
Instead of acquiring Josh Smith from the Hawks, as was widely rumored that they would, the Bucks swung a deal to bring in J.J. Redick from the Magic
On a trade deadline day which did not hold many surprises and/or major deals, one involving the Magic and Bucks probably held the most intrigue.
In a six-player deal, Orlando traded their fan-favorite shooting guard...
