If you read my last post where I said San Antonio had absolutely ZERO chance at beating the Heat for the title, you might be wondering how I feel after a game three where the Spurs mopped the floor with every Heat player besides for Mike Miller (ironically, the only one that has a mop on his head). Here’s how I feel now: San Antonio has ZERO chance of winning this thing. Sorry Spurs fans, sorry Heat haters, sorry everyone who loves when Lebron fails, it’s not gonna happen.I was listening to ESPN radio after game 1 against the Pacers where the broadcaster mentioned that it was really a shame that Indiana (Frank Vogel) lost game 1 since now they’d have to beat the Heat 4 times in 6 games, when the Heat had only lost 3 total times (including the playoffs) in the previous 49 games!Lebron has indeed played very poorly (for his standards) the past 3 games, is there anyone out there who seriously thinks that will continue? He’s the best player in the league. By far. And this is the biggest...

Lady catches Tim Duncan diving into stands, freaks out

To be honest, most of us would probably freak out if an NBA player fell into our laps during a game and last night during game three of the 2013 NBA Finals, one lucky Spurs fan got the chance to catch Tim Duncan. Keep an eye on the blonde woman sitting in the lower level as Duncan dives into the stands to save a loose ball and her shocked look upon catching Tim: *** Tim Duncan...

David Robinson would love to see Duncan win title

David Robinson was 37 years old when he retired, his legacy as the greatest player in San Antonio Spurs history firmly intact. It's been 10 years since Robinson left the team in the hands of Tim Duncan and a couple of young guards named Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Now it's Duncan's legacy that is being debated as the Spurs entered Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Thursday...

Tony Parker could miss Game Four?

In the midst of the Spurs' 3-point onslaught in last night's Game Three victory over the Heat comes some troubling news from the San Antonio locker room. Tony Parker left the game in the middle of the third quarter with an undisclosed hamstring injury. While he returned to the bench and to the game, Parker still said he felt some discomfort. He was scheduled to have an...

Now you can be one of the Spurs' 'Big 3'... sort of

Have you ever wanted to hit a soft bank-shot like Tim Duncan? Perhaps hit the teardrop shot on your way to the rim? Or maybe hit your defender with a euro-step like Manu Ginobili? Well you can still do that but good look seeing through these Spurs head tee shirts. Local San Antonio business Ace Screen Graphics has been printing out tee shirts where a San Antonio Spurs fan...

Spurs make 16 Threes in Game 3

It was raining threes last night in San Antonio. The Spurs set a NBA Finals record in making 16 three pointers in route to their 113-77 victory. The Spurs now have a 2-1 series lead. The previous record of threes in a game was 14. Most of the damage was done by two players Danny Green and Gary Neal. The two combined to make 13 three pointers with Green hitting 7 and Neal making 6...

Gary Neal hits buzzer beating Three before Half

The Spurs were up by 10 late in the 2nd quarter but the Miami Heat made a run and tied up the score with 44 seconds left. Tony Parker then hit a three pointer. On the following possession Danny Green blocked LeBron James and the Spurs went on the fast break. Duncan threw a perfect outlet pass to Tony Parker, who then found Gary Neal wide open on the wing. Neal nailed the three right...

NBA Finals: This is a weird series

It started off as we thought it might.  Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are key in a San Antonio Spurs win while LeBron James had a triple double in a Game 1 that could've gone either way.  Then things got weird.  First the Spurs got crushed by the Miami Heat, which isn't too weird, but what was weird is that the blowout wasn't a part of a "LeBron game" or...

By the numbers: Spurs' Game 3 win over Heat

For those of you that say that ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is not a man of the people, you need to check out this photo of him with the San Antonio Spurs cheer team. The photo was posted by Spurs cheerleading coach Raquel Garcia and Stephen appeared to be very pleased to take it:

Spurs rout unrecognizable Heat

Game Two was the kind of game good teams have nightmares about. The defense and principals of a team break down and it leads to an onslaught of highlights and talk that makes a player and a team doubt itself. Especially when the stakes are so high. The only thing a team can do to fight all this off is to respond the next time out. San Antonio HAD to respond the next time out and...
