NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson confirmed the new policy Wednesday night saying: "What was clearly expressed to the committee is that we would begin imposing fines next season for the most egregious type of flops. When players are taking a dive, for lack of a better term."
Gag me with a spoon. Flopping has been around since the early dawn of time. Even cavemen did it. My girlfriend does it every night in bed with me, like a fish out of water.
Great decision NBA…I mean, your referees can't even confirm if a shot hit the rim, or call blantent fouls in a playoff game….but you think they can judge if a flop was intentional or not.
Yea….
This will go over about as well as basketball did in Vancouver. (Hint: It didn't go over well…)
