Spurs veteran Stephen Jackson has been fined $25,000 for “issuing a hostile statement” directed at Oklahoma City forward Serge Ibaka, the NBA announced on Sunday. Jackson posted an apology earlier in the day via his Twitter account: I apologize to Serge Ibaka, the NBA, and to all my fans for the comments I made. It was unprofessional and childish. I’m not a thug just a man who speaks his mind. It was not appropriate. I do apologize. Only a man can admit when he’s wrong. Spurs general manager R.C. Buford said in a statement that Jackson’s comments “are absolutely unacceptable, cannot be tolerated and do not reflect the standards held by the San Antonio Spurs.” The fine was a joint action by the NBA and the Spurs, according to the statement. via Spurs Nation

Jackson says he 'enjoyed' punching Pistons fans

Who could forget the “Malice at the Palace?” It was one of the darkest days in NBA history as the boundary between fans and players was crossed in the most explosive and dangerous way. We can look back on it now and be glad that no one was seriously hurt, but it could have been a lot worse. Everyone remembers that it was Ron Artest who first climbed into the stands, but not...

Spurs' Jackson fined for Ibaka tweet

San Antonio Spurs forward Stephen Jackson was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Sunday for threatening Oklahoma City's Serge Ibaka in a Twitter post. Jackson posted the message after Ibaka and Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace got tied up during the fourth quarter of the Thunder's 114-108 victory on Friday night. The post has since been deleted, but multiple outlets...

Stephen Jackson Has A Message For serg Abaka

Remember that whole “Malice at the Palace” thing? Of course you do. It’s the night NBA fans were glued to their TV sets watching Ron Artest hunt down the dopey fan who decided it was a good idea to toss a beer cup at  a 6’8″ physical specimen with anger management issues. Aside from Artest’s infamous charge into the crowd, other memorable images showed a crazed Stephen...

Stephen Jackson Threatens Serge Ibaka

Serge Ibaka and Metta World Peace got into a minor scuffle, exchanging words during the Thunder’s win over the Lakers on Friday night.  They both received technicals and nothing else arose of the situation.  On November 1, Serge Ibaka was in a similar altercation with Stephen Jackson of the Spurs, again double technicals. After the Thunder/Laker game, Jackson sent out a warning...

Stephen Jackson has a warning for Thunder's Ibaka

Last night during the Lakers-Thunder matchup, Serge Ibaka and Metta World Peace got into a bit of a scuffle late in the game. No punches were thrown, the players were separated and in the end, it was just posturing between the two players. However, San Antonio Spurs' Stephen Jackson must have seen the altercation and chimed in with his two-cents on Ibaka. Needless to say...

Ibaka a 'no comment' on Jackson statements

If we are going to hear anything from Oklahoma City Thunder big man Serge Ibaka regarding San Antonio Spurs forward Stephen Jackson's comments towards him on Twitter recently, it'll have to wait for next Monday at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City where Ibaka's Thunder will matchup with Jackson's Spurs. Thunder beat writer Darnell Mayberry said Ibaka declined...

Stephen Jackson Doesn’t Think Serge Ibaka Is “Bout Dis Life”

Those who stuck around for the last couple minutes of Friday night’s non-game between the Lakers and the Thunder probably didn’t think much of the little scuffle involving Serge Ibaka and the artist formerly known as Ron Artest.  There wasn’t much to it, really… the two players essentially locked themselves into a bear hug and exchanged a few pleasantries… and that was...

Stephen Jackson wants Serge Ibaka to recognize “he ain’t about this life”

Spurs Stephen Jackson had a few thoughts to share with Twitter on Friday night about Thunder forward Serge Ibaka. During Lakers vs. Thunder, Serge and Metta World Peace had a brief altercation. Metta World Peace, Serge Ibaka Receive Double Technicals (Video)

The Los Angeles Lakers were being thrashed by the young and athletic Oklahoma City Thunder Friday night, and with under 3 minutes left to play, Metta World Peace and Serge Ibaka were tangled up in hopes to grab a missed free throw (it went in, by the way), but neither player wanted to let go. Don’t F**k With Stephen Jackson, Period

The thing is, Serge Ibaka didn’t even really do anything directly  to Jack but it didn’t stop this tweet from being sent Serge’s way: “Somebody tel serg Abaka. He aint bout dis life. Next time he run up on me im goin in his mouth. That’s a promise. He doin 2 much.” - Stephen Jackson on Serge Ibaka Those who know, know there’s a handful of players in this league you...

OKC Thunder Dominate Lakers, Ibaka and World Peace Scrap (Video)

It's funny how his name is World Peace, but he's all about starting fights??  I guess he didn't think that one through for very long.  Serge Ibaka and Metta World Peace got a little feisty in the last couple minutes of the game last night and World Peace went right for the neck grab.  No punches were thrown, but it's safe to say the Thunder own the West right now...
