As the report states, the Lakers will not have the services of Peace heading into the first round of the Western Conference playoffs and to add more insult to injury, Devin Ebanks and Matt Barnes (both back up Peace) are injured. Of course, both should be ready for the playoffs.
The Lakers are not heading into the playoffs on the right foot at all. Granted they more than likely will be the third seed in the West but are currently slated to face the Denver Nuggets which can be a a handful with players such as Danillo Gallinari, JaVale McGee, Wilson Chandler, and Kenneth Faried. Without Peace there (who was looking much l...

Peace clocked Harden with a powerful shot to the head that may impact both team’s playoff performances.
Just when he was beginning to play well, just on the eve of the playoffs, METTA WORLD PEACE (yeah, right) goes ballistic after a fastbreak dunk and levels OKC’s JAMES HARDEN with a vicious elbow to the side of the head in Sunday’s Lakers-Thunder match-up at Staples…
Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace will probably have to change his name back to Ron Artest after he was ejected from Sunday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
It happened in the second quarter of Sunday's game. Metta was celebrating after scoring a basket when he felt James Harden bump into him and impulsively threw an elbow in that direction....
LeBron James of the Miami Heat is about to win his third MVP. That’s right, “Not one, not two, but three (Cue the smoke and music ‘bum, bum, bum’).” With his this MVP, LeBron will solidify himself as the best player of his generation (I’m not sure this is breaking news. I mean who is better than him? The only person close to him in this generation is Dwyane Wade, and...
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Kevin Durant glanced over at the locker next to him and it still didn't feel right that James Harden wasn't there.
The good news is he should be back in time for the playoffs.
Harden passed the NBA-mandated tests required for him to return from the concussion he suffered when the Lakers' Metta World Peace elbowed him in the back of the head, but...
At first look it appears Metta World Peace or Ron Artest had a very cheap shot in the Los Angles and Oklahoma City game. However, Artest claims it an accident and it very well could have been but Artest’s previous actions aren’t working in his favor.
World Peace was ejected in Sunday’s 114-106 double overtime win for the Lakers. World Peace received a flagrant...
The NBA did not determine Monday the length of a likely suspension for Lakers forward Metta World Peace, according to a league official familiar with the situation.
The Lakers do not play again until Thursday, lessening the need for an immediate ruling, though a decision Tuesday seems to be a strong possibility.

Even with the playoffs about to start, the last thing the Oklahoma City Thunder want to do is rush one of their top players back from injury.
The Thunder could again be without key reserve James Harden when they conclude the regular season at home Wednesday night against the playoff-bound Denver Nuggets.
Oklahoma City (47-18) has secured the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference...
If Las Vegas gave you an over/under of 25.5 for amount of points Avery Bradley will score tonight, what would you take?
On Sunday, the world seemed right again, as Metta World Peace turned back into the Ron Artest of old by laying a vicious elbow to the side of James Harden’s head. Artest said that the elbow was an accident – that he was just caught up in the moment after a big slam dunk – and he even Tweeted his oh-so-sincere regrets about the whole situation. Of course, his Tweets were probably...
The elbow heard around the world issued by World Peace last week was one of the more hanus acts I’ve seen on the basketball court since Ron Artest’s Palace brawl. I understand he was excited because over the last month he’s finally started to play a little bit, but most guys don’t knock another player unconscious while they are celebrating.
James Harden the player who got...
