From the fashion rookies to the seasoned style pros, NBA players across the board are paying close attention to how they present themselves off-the-court. They are developing clothing lines, securing internships with GQ magazine, lining front rows at runway shows, and turning post-game press conferences into sartorial showdowns. NBA TV’s “The Jump” took a look at the league’s fashion phenomenon with the help of former NBA player and menswear designer, Kevin Willis, and stylist to NBA stars, Rachel Johnson.
Willis joined “The Jump” crew to discuss his fashion game. After struggling to find clothing that fit his larger physique, developing a fashion line felt like a natural progression, considering his built in clientele. Willis spoke about the seamless transition from the hardwood to the design room and his line, which aims to make “big and tall” more fashionable. Willis’ apparel collection can be found at Men’s Warehouse.
