Five Free Agents to Add

#1. J.R. Smith NYK SF 11.3 PTS 1.5 3PM 3.8 REB 2.3 AST 2.5 STL

Smith has been and always will be a scorer. You have to love any shooter in the D’Antoni system. Expect his numbers to increase as he gets used to the system.

#2. Isaiah Thomas SAC 8.8 PTS 1.1 3PM 2.9 REB 2.2 AST 0.6 STL

Thomas is living up to his namesake after being named starting point guard for the Kings. The man is hitting the 3’s, while also dishing a fair amount of assists. As long as he remains a starter, 16 points, 2 three-pointers, and 5 assists should be guaranteed.

#3. Wilson Chandler SF FA Has not Played

Depending on where Chandler ends up will show his true value. Last season he was at about 16 points, 2 three-pointers, 6 rebounds, and a block a game. Nice addition for any squad.

#4.  Jordan Crawford SG WAS 12.4 PTS 1.0 3PM 2.9 AST 2.4 REB

Somebody’s got to score points in Washington. Crawford has been that man with 20 plus points in 4 of his last 5 games.

#5. Marco Belinelli SG NOR 10.8 PTS 1.5 3PM 2.6 REB 1.2 AST

How bout another scorer for your team? 30 plus minutes and guaranteed to score you 10 points. Not a bad player to have.

3 Trends to Watch

1). Troll the free agent wire,  plenty of solid players are getting dropped due to injuries. If you can afford it, nab these players for the playoff run.

2). Is it me or is this the weakest or at least hyped All Star weekend in a long time. Not the same usual buzz or excitement at all.

3). 3 teams I would watch for players are Sacramento, Charlotte, and Utah. All have young squads and could have fluid changes in their starting lineups.
