Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Last night, the Denver Nuggets would sink the Oklahoma City Thunder at the buzzer. Then, reigning MVP Russell Westbrook would shove a fan. But that’s not really his fault. After all, the fan would get right up in his face. What’s he doing there to begin with?

Again, Steven Adams is the best part about this video. But that’s neither here nor there. As it pertains to Westbrook, the NBA has made their punishment known. The simple fact? He’s not being punished. After last night’s incident, however, Westbrook would make his feelings known.

You’ve got to be able to protect the players. You play the game, the fans obviously enjoy the game, but they can’t come onto the floor. It’s totally unacceptable. They’ll look at it and figure out what’s the best thing to do. To me that’s just totally unacceptable.

The league apparently agrees.

Regarding the fan who got in Russell Westbrook’s space yesterday. Source tells ESPN that following the incident arena security removed him from the court. Law enforcement issued a summons and complaint for trespass and he’s been banned from games.

So that’s that then. In the meantime, don’t be stupid and go on the court, basketball fans. Especially when Steven Adams is close by.
