The Milwaukee Bucks held a 29-16 lead over the Phoenix Suns after the first quarter as they attempted to close out the NBA Finals in Game 6 Tuesday evening.
Fans inside Fiserv Forum were celebrating like it was 1971 as it looked like Milwaukee was going to earn its first championship in a half-century.
While that still might happen, the Milwaukee Bucks absolutely stunk up the joint in the second quarter. That included the Eastern Conference champions being outscored by a margin of 31-13.
You simply can’t make this type of stuff up. How bad was it for the home team? Not only did Milwaukee put up five points in its first 17 second-quarter possessions, Giannis Antetokounmpo committed one of the most-hilarious mental lapses we’ve seen in the NBA in some time.
When all was said and done, Phoenix led by the score of 47-42 at the half as the Suns attempted to even up the series at three and force a Game 7 at home Thursday evening. It took this lead despite seeing Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton shoot a combined 10-of-27 from the field in the first 24 minutes.
As it gets worse for Holiday, it gets bad for the Bucks.

Bucks went 4 for 20 in that quarter. Giannis with three baskets and Portis with one. Holiday and Middleton a combined 0 for 8.

Some Bucks fans booing or just quiet after team leaves the floor for halftime. Much different atmosphere than the pre-game "Bucks in 6" chants and video shots of fans living it up in Deer District.

Chris Paul is having a game. Jrue Holiday, is not. Sometimes it’s that simple
