Joseph will be playing for his second NBA team as he comes to the Nets, as the Boston Celtics draftee was sent to the Armor--and the Nets organization--back in February in exchange for James Mays
Yesterday, news came out that the Nets finally filled out their 15th and last roster spot--a spot left open when the team released Josh Childress in December--by calling up forward Kris Joseph from the team's D-League affiliate in Springfield, the Armor. Joseph, who is eligible for the playoffs, gives Brooklyn a pretty big body (Joseph stands at 6'7") who probably will be inactive most nights, but also provides the team with a talented scorer who can fill in, in a pinch, for any injured players.
The move further shows the Nets commitment to utilizing the scores of talent in the D-League--and their unique relationship with the Armor--to supplement their big-league roster.

Danny Ainge recently said that LeBron needs to stop doing so much complaining, and that apparently did not sit well with Pat Riley, to say the least.
Former coach/Heat president Pat Riley and Celtics president Danny Ainge go way back to the old Celtics-Lakers rivalry of the 80′s, and there’s apparently some bad blood still flowing…
Ainge said earlier in the week that it was “almost embarrassing that LeBron (James) would complain about officiating,”
Riley didn’t take to kindly to that remark, and released this statement...
Pretty humorous AT&T commercial featuring former Celtics Larry Bird and Bill Russell, also former Lakers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Earvin "Magic" Johnson.
You expect bloggers, fans and sports radio hosts to react to LeBron James’ whining about officiating. But an NBA general manager?
Yesterday on WEEI, Danny Ainge joined the fray:
“I think the referees got the calls right. I don’t think it was a hard foul,” Ainge said of the mixups involving James and Heinrich, as well as another one involving James and Taj Gibson. “I think...
Reggie Evans is playing some great basketball this month, averaging 7.3 points on 50% shooting and a league-best 15.5 rebounds per game, not to mention a career-best 22-point, 26-rebound performance in a win at Portland Wednesday, so what’s brought this on? Evans is playing inspired after a teammate told interim coach, P.J. Carlesimo, that the forward should be benched because...
Knicks 108, Celtics 89
For the second time this week, the Celtics (38-35) were unable to compete with a team that now owns the longest streak in the NBA. The Knicks (46-26) won their eighth straight on Sunday night as they steamrolled through a porous C’s defense. Boston played well enough on the offensive end, but Without Kevin Garnett in the lineup, they were simply unable to...
he Celtics will not have Kevin Garnett tonight against the New York Knicks as they expected. The center is, however, closer to returning to the court after missing the past four games with ankle inflammation.
Garnett was expected to participate in the team's shootaround Sunday morning at Madison Square Garden, which is an encouraging sign considering the team wanted...
Melo and the Knicks punished Boston from 3-point range.Few things are as aggravating as hearing an opposing crowd chant “Bos-ton sucks,” but one thing that’s worse is knowing that they aren’t wrong. The Celtics, for lack of a better descriptor, sucked tonight. Aside from Jeff Green (and Chris Wilcox on two field goal attempts), no one shot above 50% from the field. The Celtics...
DENVER Brooklyn Nets guard Jerry Stackhouse is likely to retire after this season. But he wont be done with basketball.
The 18-year veteran said its highly unlikely he will play next season. He then anticipates having a role with the NBA Players Association.
Its not completely sold that I dont get the bug (to play) again,'' Stackhouse told FOX Sports Florida before Friday...

The guys behind Picture Planet Studios, Dan Bowers & Van Troung, have been Celtics fans and Red’s Army readers for quite some time. With their first feature film set to release next month, it was a perfect time to feature them on Fan Friday:
How long have you guys been Celtics fans, and who or what got you interested in them?
Van: It started with Larry Bird. I was a chubby...
In a recent interview on WEEI radio, Celtics GM, Danny Ainge, called LeBron James “almost embarrassing” for complaining about foul calls after Chicago snapped Miami’s 27-game winning streak. LeBron James responded at Friday’s shootaround in New Orleans, saying “Nothing that comes out of Boston surprises me,” but Miami wasn’t done firing back. Heat president Pat Riley...
8 a.m. ET: The last team to beat the Celtics prior to their current two-game win streak was the Knicks. Jeff Green and company have a chance to change that Sunday.
In a special Easter edition of the NBA’s best traditional rivalry, the Celtics (38-34) and the Knicks (45-26) will face off at Madison Square Garden. This is the fourth and final meeting of the year between these teams...
