Found September 22, 2013 on NY Sports 24/7:
Throughout his career, Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez has dealt with nagging foot injuries, one – a broken fifth right metatarsal – in fact kept him out of all but five seasons in 2011-2012. Now though, the Net big man is fully healthy following offseason surgery to replace a screw in his foot -an injury that lingered last season – according to ESPN New York’s Ian Begley. The news of Lopez being fully healthy at last is great news for the Nets, a team that will rely on the combination of Lopez and the newly acquired Kevin Garnett to provide them with one of the league’s best, if not the best, big man tandem. Lopez has loads of potential, and there’s no telling how much he can improve his already potent skill set under the tutelage of the 18 year veteran Garnett. Last season, Lopez averaged 19.4 points (a team high), 6.9 rebounds, and a career high 2.1 blocks per game, also leading the Nets in scoring during the postseason with a 22.3 average.

Nets and Heat to Wear Nicknames on Back of Jerseys

How often do you call LeBron “King James”? How often do you call Paul Pierce “The Truth”? When was the last time you watched Kevin Garnett play and didn’t refer to him as “KG” at least once?
