Training camp hasn't even started and the New Jersey Nets have an injury. Nets general manager Billy King disclosed late Monday that forward Travis Outlaw has a broken right hand. King released no other information about the injury, adding he would have more to say after the player was examined by team doctors. Outlaw signed a five-year, $35 million contract with the Nets in July 2010. He started 55 of 82 games with New Jersey last season, averaging 9.2 points and 4.0 rebounds. Outlaw is entering his 10th season in the NBA.

As the countdown to July 1 and Deron Williams’ eventual opt-out begins, coach Avery Johnson said he understands that it’s up to the Nets to prove to their star point guard that he should stick around. “We’d rather be in this situation, where there is some more pressure...

New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams may be opting out out of his contract at the end of the 2011-12 season, but no need to worry. Williams doesn't plan on leaving.

Off the Dribble: Here's Your Logo, What's Your Hurry?

The New Jersey Nets have a logo celebrating their years in the Garden State--just as they prepare to move to Brooklyn.

Williams sees Howard in Brooklyn

When Deron Williams envisions the future, he sees the Nets playing in front of sold-out crowds in Brooklyn. And when he tries to improve the vision, he sees himself playing alongside current Orlando superstar Dwight Howard. Yes, Williams feeding Howard is “in a perfect world,” but while Williams does not...
