Maybe sit this next one out, Champ. Brooklyn rookie Mirza Teletovic had the dubious honor Wednesday night of shooting airballs on three consecutive possessions in the third quarter of the Nets game against the Detroit Pistons. With his team up 74-73, Teletovic attempted a wide open 3-pointer that wasn’t even close. On the following trip down the floor he tried a fallaway jumper that produced the same result as his ill-fated trey. Whether it be stubbornness, stupidity, or both, Teletovic attempted yet another 3-pointer on the very next possession that hit nothing but air. Coach P.J. Carlesimo finally had enough of his Bosnian sharpshooter, and sat Teletovic for the remainder of the game. The Nets would go on to beat the Pistons 93-90. Teletovic, meanwhile, was seen after the game falling out of a boat and remaining surprisingly dry. Nets forward Mirza Teletovic shoots three consecutive air balls (Video)

Brooklyn Nets rookie forward Mirza Teletovic, a 27-year-old rookie from Bosnia, shot three consecutive air balls during the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's NBA game against the Detroit Pistons. We can not confirm whether Teletovic set an NBA record in the process. As of this writing, Teletovic only averages about 8 minutes a game (in 28 games played). It's going...

Nets Player Mirza Teletovic Air Balls Three Strait Jump Shots (Video)

It's not often you see NBA players air ball jump shots unless the shot gets tipped.  Mirza Teletovic of the Brooklyn Nets accomplished this feat last night.....three consecutive times.  Although Mirza only averages about eight minutes and 3.4 points a game, he still needs to shoot better than this.  I would almost have to compare this to a hat trick in soccer or hockey...

Deron Williams $15.8 million 6,800 sq. foot Tribeca penthouse

Nets Deron Williams recently dropped $15.8 million on a 6,800 square foot penthouse just across the Brooklyn Bridge in Tribeca. Kobe dunks on Nets' Humphries and Wallace at Barclays; Gets M-V-P chant

Even after 14 All-Star seasons, Kobe Bryant has been called just about everything while visiting an NBA opponent's building.  But one thing he is usually never called outside the comfy confines of Staple Center is, "M-V-P!." Bryant didn't hear the chant only once during the Lakers game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center Tuesday night — but three...

Game 49 Recap: Nets 93, Pistons 90. The One Where The Second Half Picked Up The First

Reggie Evans led the Nets in the first half with eight points and 10 rebounds, a first half in which the team as a whole played poorly   I feel like I say this a lot about the games in which the Nets play bad teams, but tonight was ugly yet turned into a win for Brooklyn. The first half was pretty atrocious, especially the second quarter in which the reserves let...

Kris Humphries for Ben Gordon trade rumored? Nets and Bobcats talking deal

Kris Humphries and Ben Gordon could be switching places. The Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Bobcats are discussing a swap, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard. Broussard wrote that a deal isn't imminent. But this deal makes sense for the Bobcats, who desperately need frontcourt help, and Humphries is capable of averaging a double-double if given the minutes (and there...

Game 48 Recap: Lakers 92, Nets 83. The One Where Brook's 30 Wasn't Enough

Kobe put on a second-half show to led the Lakers to a win tonight   No Dwight Howard, no Metta World Peace, no problem. Sweeping the season series, LA led by nine points at half before Brooklyn...
