NBA Injury News:
It was reported yesterday that the Brooklyn Nets extended an offer to Phil Jackson to replace P.J. Carlesimo as the team's next head coach. It was considered a long shot, and it appears that Jackson has turned down the offer. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Jackson told the Nets that he has no interest in the team's coaching vacancy. After connecting with Brooklyn today, Phil Jackson informed organization that he has no interest in coaching job, league source says.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) May 7, 2013 Phil Jackson's inclination remains to return to the NBA in a broader management role.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) May 7, 2013 Wojnarowski adds that Jackson still seems to be more interested in joining a team in a management position -- think Pat Riley and Jerry West -- rather than resuming his coaching career.Still, as evidenced in his almost deal with the Los Angeles Lakers last year, it would appear that Jackson would be willing to return to coaching in special circumstances. He didn't consider the Nets to be this sort of opportunity, but Brooklyn has said that they'd be willing to bring him on in a front office role. The rumors surrounding Jackson figure to continue until he either joins a team in some capacity or next season begins, whichever comes first.Follow @hoopsinjurynews

Could Kobe Bryant be considered a cheap person? I mean here we go again with his mother trying to sell his stuff. Why won;t he take care of his own mother with some of the millions he has made in the NBA? Why is she trying to sell his things in the first place? Does she need the money to get buy. This is very weird situation with Kobe and his mom. His mom seems to be upset that Vanessa’s mom got a bigger house that she has, so her way of getting payback, is stealing Kobe’s stuff and auctioning them off.
I don’t know the inner workings of the Bryant family, but regardless of what is going on behind the scenes, that seems a bit petty on her part.

Our friend Stiletto Jill took this to mean that Gasol is going over to Germany to have the Kobe treatments, I said he was going to see Charles Xavier and this is why she is smarter than I am. With that being said, the German treatments seem to work for anyone not named Andrew Bynum.

Guys--correct me if I am wrong, but our wives/girlfriends like to claim that it is not the price tag on the gift that counts, but the thought right? As long as it is something that is from the heart and really shows that we care they are cool with it (supposedly).

Seems like an open and shut case to me. It is Kobe’s stuff so if he doesn’t want it to go to auction, his mom shouldn’t be allowed to do it.
