Last year, the Nets called up former Celtic Gerald Green from the D-League. Green played in 31 games for the Nets, averaging 12.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He shot 48% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc. Green's play with the Nets was good enough to land him a 3 year $9 million contract from Indiana this season, which the Nets didn't match. Now, the Nets are looking for some help going into the post season and they are once again scouting former Celtics in the D-League. This time, their target is former Celtic Kris Joseph, who they will call up some time next week, according to a source. Joseph was drafted by the Celtics with the 51st pick in this past draft and was signed to a non-guaranteed contract in July. The Celtics released Joseph in early January before his contract would become guaranteed. After leaving the Celtics, Joseph was signed by the Celtics D-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws. The Springfield Armour, the Nets' D-League affiliate, then traded forward James Mays to Maine to acquire Joseph, who averaged 19.4 points in 14 games with Springfield. [Discuss on CG Forums!]
