Time is running out for the Trailblazers, as yet another loss put them further away from the playoffs.

Portland is now 4 games back of the Rockets for the last playoff spot and they face a Nets team that did lose last night to the Lakers, but mounted a late comeback to almost steal a win.

*NBA ATS Matchup Report*

The Blazers were beat by the Utah Jazz in their last game and they allowed the Jazz to shoot 48.8% from the floor and they were also sloppy with the rock committing 16 turnovers. 6th man Jamal Crawford sat out that game with tendonitis in his right knee and he is questionable for tonight’s game.

Deron Williams scored 20 points and Kris Humphries added 18 points with 15 boards in the loss to the Lakers and New Jersey is also getting good play from ex-Blazer Gerald Wallace, who is averaging 20.3 ppg and 9 rpg in his last 3 games.

The Blazers gave up 56 points in the loss to the Jazz, which was a season high, and LaMarcus Aldridge and J.J. Hickson have to play better D in the paint tonight.

At least tonight the Blazers will be facing a Nets’ team that is only 4-6 in their last 10 games, rank 25th in the league in scoring, and has a defense that ranks 22nd in the league in opponents’ points allowed.

Aldridge and Wesley Matthews combined for 60 points in the loss to Utah, but these guys did not get much help.

LaMarcus Aldridge and Gerald Wallace Nets vs. Trail Blazers betting odds & handicapping preview April 4th

Helloooooooooo Gerald. Meet LaMarcus.

Raymond Felton continues to struggle in his first season in Portland and in the Jazz game he was only 2/10 from the field for 4 points. Portland needs his offense and they also need some other guys to step up.

The Blazers have won 3 straight and 7 of their last 8 games against the Nets in Portland.

Nets vs. Blazers Handicapping Preview

This season the Nets are 25-30 ATS with an O/U record of 27-27-1 and the Blazers are 25-28-1 ATS with an O/U record of 29-25.

In some betting trends for this non-conference match up the Nets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall, 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record, and they have an Under record of 5-1-1 in their last 7 road games.

The Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record, and they have an Over record of 5-0 in their last 5 games.

Pick: I think the Blazers will win this game, but the Nets will keep it close and they will, at least, cover the 8-point spread.

LaMarcus Aldridge would like Steve Nash to be a Blazer

It's been a rough year for the Portland Trailblazers, and an even rougher one for Raymond Felton. I guess actually it's been roughest for Nate McMillan really, who was fired in part because Ray averaged a career low 10.4 points per game this season, but all of this is besides the point.  What's important, at least for the purposes of this blog post, is that the Blazers...

Blazers should consider playing Aldridge at center next season

For all the on-court struggles and off-court drama, LaMarcus Aldridge is undoubtedly the Portland Trail Blazers best player. Making his first All-Star game this season, Aldridge is averaging 21.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, with career highs from both the field (51.3%) and charity stripe (81.3%).One of Portland's biggest problems over the last several seasons has...

D-Will Upset That Nets Fans Are Calling Him A Traitor On Twitter

New Jersey Nets All-Star point guard Deron Williams has realized that there is a downside in announcing one’s intentions to test the Free Agent market; that is dealing with the reactions of the fans of the franchise you may be leaving. Deron Williams: The Assistant General Manager?

Many Knicks fans have criticized Carmelo Anthony for his negative tone on the court this season, and even went as far as blaming his influence for the resignation of former head coach Mike D'Antoni. Kanye West raps about love triangle with Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

Kanye West dropped a new track “Theraflu” with DJ Khaled on Wedesday. And while the song bangs, there’s more to it than that. What’s notable is Kanye makes the operatic admission of being in love with Kim Kardashian while she was married to Kris Humphries. Drama, you guys. Drama.
