The Brooklyn Nets have already clinched a playoff berth, an impressive feat in and of itself considering where the team was not too long ago.  But they are looking for more.  The Nets are just two games out for second place in the Eastern Conference.  So, every win counts.  They got another one last night, and they managed to do it without Joe Johnson.According to Brett Pollakof, Johnson was a late scratch last night against the Phoenix Suns.  Head coach P.J. Carlesimo told reporters that Johnson would miss the game because of soreness in his right quad.  Johnson was hit in the quad on Saturday and suffered a contusion.Johnson is an NBA veteran playing in his first season with the Nets.  He has played for four teams in his long NBA career, and he has been productive for all of them.  The Nets are no exception.  Johnson has averaged 16.4 points and 3.6 assists per game this season.  In his career, Johnson has averaged 17.7 points and 4.4 assists per game.The Nets are 41-29.  They are 14 1/2 game back of the Miami Heat for first place, so reaching that spot is out of the question.  But they are just tow game back of the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");

It's not 2007 anymore, but the Nets are in the playoffs. The Philly collapse clinched a playoff spot for the Nets, who, via...

Even an almost-triple-double by Goran Dragic couldn't get the Phoenix Suns a win tonight over the Nets   It was ugly, full of bad basketball, nerve-racking, and almost devastating.
