Turn On The Knicks:
The New York Knicks don’t play until Thursday, but end the week with three games in four nights. Finally, we get to see a “Battle of the Boroughs” when the Knicks head to Brooklyn for a matchup with the Nets. Read on to see what else the team has on their plate for the upcoming week.
With no Kurt Thomas available to will the team to victory this time around, the Knicks dropped all three games on their West Coast swing before dropping one more at home last night to the Pelicans. They played the same uninspired basketball that has plagued them throughout the young season, and didn’t seem to build any momentum on either side of the floor.
In case you missed any of the action last week, here are the quick versions:
TrailBlazers 102, Knicks 91
Clippers 93, Knicks 80
Nuggets 97, Knicks 95
Pelicans 103, Knicks 99
Man, I can’t wait to put the Knicks team name in front of their opponents on one of those links. Hopefully, this past week represented rock bottom.

The New York Knicks are 3-13. There are a lot of reasons for this. While it’s both accurate and popular to heap blame on the broad shoulders of head coach Mike Woodson, the Knicks’ players themselves aren’t exactly excelling right now either. Sixteen games is a legitimate sample size – we’re approaching the quarter pole of the season – and there are many ways to digest...

The Knicks have been a mitigated disaster so far this season as they delve deeper and deeper into the abyss. Below we take a look at five observations that make you question whether the Knicks can rebound from this 3-13 start:

After the New York Knicks lost their ninth straight game, star forward Carmelo Anthony said the team is “playing to lose.” “I think we’re playing to lose rather than playing to win right now,” Anthony said after the Knicks’ 103-99 loss to New Orleans on Sunday, via ESPNNewYork.com. “When you lose games the way we’ve been losing them at home, on the road, you start...
With the Knicks having a…well…terrible start to their season and if you needed a single play to describe their season, the below Vine clip would be it.
During Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, Amare Stoudemire accidentally sets a screen against teammate J.R. Smith:

J.R. Smith has a way of bringing the best and worst out of New York Knicks faithful.
Smith and the Knicks are mired in a 9 game losing streak, and the streaky shooting guard seems to have gotten fed up with the on again, off again love some fans have for the Knicks.
J.R. as only he could, took Twitter to let Knicks fans know what’s really good.
When we starting winning make sure...
The New York Knicks have lost 9 straight, and Iman Shumpert may have guaranteed his trade when he and Carmelo Anthony got into a shouting match after a missed defensive assignment against the Pelicans.
Cameras caught Iman Shumpert and Carmelo Anthony screaming at each other on the bench following a timeout to discuss an open three for Ryan Andersen.

The New York Knicks are such a mess, that management now has to enforce policies that promote positive thinking.
On the heels of Carmelo Anthony venting about all the veteran Knicks that he’s missing, the New York Post is reporting that Knicks management has handed down approach, the power of positive thinking.
With the Knicks an emotional train wreck, they’re trying a new approach...
The Knicks are nine games under .500 with no idea how to crawl out of the miserable slump they’ve been in.
J.R. Smith is a big reason for the teams struggle. Smith chose to put off knee surgery, and with a quarter of the season already gone, Smith still hasn’t found his groove on offense.
Smith shot 10-for-30, including 2-for-11 from three-point range, and totaled 24 points...
Nine straight losses. Seven straight losses at home, which ties a team record for futility at MSG. Times of trouble, my friends. Let’s get to last night:
- The Knicks’ defense continued to be frustratingly bad, allowing a lot of open looks from a foot away off pick and rolls (especially when Andrea Bargnani and/or J.R. Smith were tasked with defending it). They treated 3-point...

The New York Knicks lost all 4 games in Week 5 of NBA action, falling to 3-13 on the year. New York kicked off the road trip by visiting the Portland Trailblazers on Monday, losing 91-102. Wednesday came with another loss in Los Angeles against the Clippers, 80-93. Friday was the Nuggets in Denver, where the Knicks fell 95-97 in the final minute after a blocked...
The New York Knicks may never win another game. Fine, we won’t go that far, but a team that was once considered a contender in the Eastern Conference is now 3-13 and has lost its last nine games. They have lost seven in a row at home during that span, which is one of those […]

The New York Knicks have done a lot more talking than winning lately. The Knicks are tied with the Milwaukee Bucks for worst record in the league as they stand 3-13. Star forward Carmelo Anthony says head coach Mike Woodson’s job security has the team “worried” “Yeah, we’re worried about that. But then again, we’ve […]
