Nick Young of the young Washington Wizards showed a little of his athleticism on Friday night against the Denver Nuggets by breezing past the defense, going baseline, and hammering it home. It is sstill amazing the amount of young talent on the Wizards, and still awful performance.

Nick Young Trying To Change Perceptions
Once you get a reputation in the NBA, it is very difficult to change it. Reporters and broadcasters will hammer that reputation down for their neat little stories. Coaches and general managers do not have the time to watch game tape or be around the player long enough to change perceptions. When a player with a bad reputation hits the market it stays with them -- see the story of...

JaVale McGee’s Mother: ‘My Son is the Future of the NBA’
The last time many of us paid any mind to JaVale McGee’s mom, she was smooching Dr. J during the Dunk Contest. This time, she gives a fascinating interview to the WaPo about her son: “He is not a knucklehead,’ Pamela McGee says. ‘JaVale is a good kid. My son is special. He has gifts you can’t teach: hands, height and heart. If I’m the Wizards and I’m really...
JaVale McGee's Mother Has Some Ideas About How The Washington Wizards Should Showcase JaVale McGee
The Washington Wizards may be complacent on the court, but no one works harder on finding hilarious ways to be dysfunctional. Today's contributor: JaVale McGee's mommy, who has complaints about her son's playing time, his role in the team's offense, and whether he's being coached properly.More »
Wizards fail to take advantage of undermanned Celtics
It’s getting to the point that the last thing the Wizards need is for an opponent to show up without an injured starter. Chicago didn’t have Derrick Rose nearly two weeks ago and John Lucas III did a reasonable impersonation of the league’s two-time most valuable. Denver didn’t have Nene and Al Harrington made so many three-pointers he became an afterthought.

Someone Cheer up Andray
With every Wizards player that touches the ball, there seems to be a uniformity of negative chants blaring from the crowd.
Whether it’s “pass the ball!” while Jordan Crawford is aimlessly dribbling around the perimeter, or “God please don’t shoot it” every time Rashard Lewis makes eye contact with the basket, the fans refuse to contain their emotions, and with a record...
Javale McGee’s mom would like you to know that she didn’t raise a ‘knucklehead’
JaVale McGee, we're sorry, has spent a good chunk of his four NBA seasons playing like a bit of a knucklehead. There might be a sound NBA player in there somewhere, but so far the Washington Wizards center seems to want to remain the guy who chases down big stats and silly dunks at the expense of typical basketball protocol. Wizards brass, coaching staff, and fans seem in constant...
Wizards vs. Celtics: Open thread for Game 16
The Wizards will conclude their four-game homestand against Boston. The Celtics have won the first two meetings, but they will be without all-star point guard Rajon Rondo, who will miss his second game in a row with right wrist injury. Avery Bradley – who actually was rated ahead of John Wall in high school – will get the start.
