Knicks Fanatics Blog:
Chris Copeland has cemented his position on this Knick Roster the night he scored 34 points in 19 minutes verse the Boston Celtics. What is going to surprise a lot of people is he may start opening night at the 3. With Amare out 2-3 weeks and the good news that Chandler's MRI showed little more than a slight bone bruise means Chandler will Start at center opening night. Melo will start at the 4 with Jr Smith at the 2 and Raymond Felt-on will start at the1. Camby, Wallace, Kidd, Pablo, Brewer and Novacanie will be perhaps be known as having the deepest bench in the league. Look for Pablo to play major minutes with this club. Pablo makes everyone around him better and we witnessed such in preseason as he made Copeland an example of bringing out the best in an unknown player. Kidd looked good also but Pablo's 5 years of youth on Kidd and deceptive change of speed moves will bring out all the talent this current team has.. which is equal or better than any elite team in the NBA....
BEST OF MAXIM
The New York Knicks need Stoudemire to be healthy for them to be a serious contender this year, but where is the best place for him in the lineup? Not to only get the best out of him as a player, but also to help the Knicks other key pieces.
I love statistics and numbers don’t lie, they don’t capture everything but they definitely paint a picture based on facts. I was...
Earlier this offseason, Carmelo Anthony made a vow that he was tired of scoring 30 or 40 points on a nightly basis, and now had more of a focus on doing whatever it took to win games. If that took defending and rebounding, and only taking 12 shots, he would do it.
This is admirable for anyone who knows Melo’s game. He shoots a lot, but a lot of the time, he is very good at it...
As I watch Wally give his insightful opinion (preseason)on the knicks players and inside knowledge of a player that has recentlyretired from the NBA game, he brings fresh air to the MSG telecast.
He's the best commentator up there now IMHO .
Of course you heard, the Knicks received good news yesterday. Tyson is day to day with a bruised knee. We can’t explain the importance to health for the 12/13 NY Knicks and it all starts with Tyson. Our minds have been pre-occupied with Amare, Camby, Brewer, Sheed, and Shump. Basically the whole team at some point was injured or held out of practice and games for some reason...
The Knicks are optimistic that Tyson Chandler will be ready for the regular season opener against the Nets, but will likely be conservative.
The Knicks are facing the Nets at Nassau Coliseum tonight in their 6th and final pre-season game. The Knicks have not played well as of late and I am hoping to see the them develop some real chemistry tonight, even though many of the rotation guys are out.
We all know this is just the pre-season, but the Knicks have looked truly lackadaisical defensively and out of sync offensively...
Ten years ago, can you believe it? The ’02-’03 season ended with Syracuse cutting down the nets in New Orleans, site of so much horror for the program before that. The kid that erased all those ghosts was back in the Dome this week.
The critics can howl all they want about Carmelo Anthony. You’ve heard it all before: He doesn’t make his teammates better. He doesn’t play...
Rasheed Wallace. Yep, I dared team Ballin Like Smush to do it and he is now the proud owner of ‘Sheed for $1 (until waivers on Thursday kicks in at least). This, in a way, shows the beauty of an auction. You can start nominating the top guys like LeBron James or try to squeeze [...]
