NBA Injury News:
Denever Nuggets’ small forward Kenneth Faried is entering his third NBA season. There has been notable improvement in his game, but at 23 years old, still a raw talent that needs increased time to full develop. Unfortunately, that time may be put on hold due to a hamstring injury.
As reported by Kurt Helin of NBCSports.com, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reported that Faried suffered a strained right hamstring on Thursday. He his listed as day to day and will have another evaluation today.
With Faried injured, there is now an interesting battle to watch between him and J.J. Hickson, who is immediately behind him on the depth chart. But with increase playing time, Hickson could perhaps surpass Faried. Coach Brian Shaw has a difficult decision. Hickson is a better offensive player at the moment, but Faried is a scrapper who can clean up under the rim. The battle is something to watch moving forward.
Faried played in 46 games as a rookie and averaged 10.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Last season, he improved to 11.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. He started all 80 games that he played in last season and averaged 28 minutes per game.

Given his track record shooting 3-point shots Randy Foye's first three games with the Nuggets are the exception to his normally sharpshooting rule.
But he's in no way worried about it.

Even for the always smiling joking Timofey Mozgov last season became a drag. He wanted to play and thought he was headed toward more playing time yet down the stretch he was forced to accept that his view of most Nuggets games would be from the bench.
Mozgov got swept up in a numbers game at center. Kosta Koufos was the starter. JaVale McGee got the backup center minutes. Mozgov...
