The New York Knicks have open the trade doors, as it's being said that the Knicks will send Amare Stoudemire to the Orlando Magic for Dwight Howard.
NBC Sports Talk is reporting that EVEN THOUGH Dwight Howard has already put the Knicks on his list of UNLIKELY TEAMS he would play for, "IF" or when his contract with the Orlando Magic runs out. Over the NBA lockout, Howard made a list of teams he would like to play for, which includes the New Jersey Nets, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and even re-sign with his current team the Orlando Magic.
It's being said that "IF" the New York Knicks do indeed get Dwight Howard, then it would only be a RENT TYPE DEAL, as Howard could opt out of the contract after the first season and leave the N.Y. Knicks getting no compensation.
It's some talk that "IF" they did get him, the Knicks could get Howard to change his mind and sign a long term deal.
Also, it's being said that the Golden State Warriors is gunning for Howard as well, as a rental type deal.
