- With Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson gone, Nelson took it upon himself to have a bigger role in this offense and he took by far the most shots per game in his career. Knowing the lack of talent on the roster, he took it upon himself to try and do what he could to help his incredibly poor team win. That is admirable and as the leader of this team, he tried his hardest to do what he could, but what ended up was a season of laughably inefficient offense. He posted a career low from the field, shooting 39%, his worst three point shooting in half a decade at 34%, despite take over 6 threes per game, which was yet another career high. Obviously he bit off way more than he could chew, but this season he must do better. He needs to stick to what he does best, shooting three pointers, but far closer to his 38% career average, running the team’s...
