With roughly two weeks remaining until the NBA trade deadline, the thought of Dwight Howard leaving Orlando is becoming a reality for Magic fans. If Dwight is not going to re-sign with the team when the season is over, the Magic need to get as much in return for him as possible. In a last ditch effort to convince the big man to stay, the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League have offered to donate $25,000 to a charity if Howard extends his contract with the Magic. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the Predators’ managing partner Brett Bouchy has pledged the money to Howard’s personal charity, the D12 Foundation. The Predators have also created a Facebook page to try to get fans and similar companies to join in their effort and pledge money to Dwight’s foundation. While this is certainly a solid idea, the thing everyone is forgetting is that Howard is about to sign a maximum contract with some team.
