INDIANAPOLIS -- It took a game against a winless team, but the Indiana Pacers finally put an end to their three-game losing streak. Washington Wizards forward Trevor Booker missed a left-handed hook that would have tied the score with 1.2 seconds remaining in the Pacers' 89-85 victory at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday night. Pacers swingman Paul George made two free throws after the Booker miss to seal the game. The loss dropped the Wizards to 0-5 on the season. The Pacers, who remain without leading scorer Danny Granger (knee), improved to 3-4. Down two with 17.9 seconds remaining, the desperate Wizards were looking for a 3-pointer for the win. The Pacers did an excellent job switching on picks to make sure the Wizards couldn't get a 3-pointer off. That led to Booker attempting the left-handed hook. George led the Pacers with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field. Swingman Gerald Green came off the bench to chip in 15 points. Former Pacers guard A.J. P...

Image courtesy @KevinHineWoA with WizOfAwes.com Prior to this year’s Wizards season tipping off, I had an article in the que titled “This is Bradley Beal’s Team until John Wall Returns.” I was even going to do a whole Batman/Robin bit too (since Beal has proclaimed his love for Batman) on how Beal could be the Batman on this team for now. Three games into the season...

AJ Price put on a show tonight against the team that chose not to resign him this past offseason. Price finished the game with 12 points 14 assists along with ZERO turnovers. He looked every bit the part of a floor general tonight. He drove and dished...
Check out this great backdoor play by the Timberwolves Friday night to beat the Indiana Pacers 96-94.I don't know about you but I am tired of "hero ball" during the final seconds of a NBA game where a star player tries to go one on one against a defender while his four teammates on the court just stand and watch as the star player usually takes a ill fated and forced...
Phew. That was close. In another grind-out game, the Pacers put away the Wizards 89-85 in just their second home game of the season, snapping a 3-game losing streak to improve to 3-4 for the season. The Pacers looked loke they were ready to lose another one for the majority of the game, constantly playing catchup from behind as former Pacer AJ Price dictated the Wizards offence. He...
I know Gerald Green isn't a Celtic any more but I still like the kid. There are a few players that I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for and he's one of them. He really needs to be back in the dunk contest.

At the beginning of the 2012-2013 season, which feels like a year ago given the poor play over the first four games, critics all acknowledged the fact that the Wizards were going to be hurting in the big-man department.
Kevin Seraphin was injured, Nene is out for the indefinite future, Okafor had a poor preseason, Brian Cook was dropped, and the only player left was Earl Barron...
Tweet The Washington Wizards dropped to 0-4 on Friday with a 101-91 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Wizards rookie Bradley Beal had the best scoring game of his young career with 22 points, but this play is what many will remember about his fourth NBA game. Beal received a Flagrant Foul 2 and [...]
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Washington Wizards Friday night, 101 to 91. The Bucks moved to 3-1, and the Wizards fell to 0-4.
The Wizards started the game with a 12-0 run. The Bucks spent the first two minutes missing shots, turning the ball over, and allowing breakout layups. It was spectacularly bad. Then they regrouped, shot well from the three point line, and got themselves...
The Washington Wizards opened last season with eight straight losses.
Already halfway there, they now visit a city where they haven't won in over five years.
One of two winless teams remaining in the NBA, the Wizards will try to capitalize on the struggling Indiana Pacers on Saturday night.

WASHINGTON -- Monta Ellis paced five double-digit scorers with 22 points and the Milwaukee Bucks' reserves keyed a 13-0 second-half run in a 101-91 win over the Washington Wizards on Friday night. Mike Dunleavy and Larry Sanders each scored 13 points off the bench. Sanders and fellow reserves Ekpe Udoh and Beno Udrih carried the entire scoring load during the decisive spurt...
