The Indiana Pacers can't yet deal with controversial comments recently posted on Brandon Rush's Twitter account. During a disagreement, an anti-homosexual slur was posted on Rush's account, (at)IamThaKing25. The comment and the rest of the thread have since been removed. Rush's agent, Mark Bartelstein, says the account was hacked. Team president Larry Bird and general manager David Morway can't talk to Rush because the NBA lockout isn't officially over. Bird said the team talks to players every season about the risks involved with social media and urges them to do the right things. He added that it's a ''different world'' now, and that's why he doesn't have a Twitter account.

Bird: Pacers to be active before season starts

Indiana Pacers president Larry Bird says he will actively look to improve his team before the season begins. The Pacers have significant salary cap space, and Bird says he wants to add pieces to a solid young core that features Danny Granger, Darren Collison, Roy Hibbert, Tyler Hansbrough, Paul George and newcomer George Hill. Of that group, only the 28-year-old Granger is older...

Vogel: Pacers Ready For Next Step

The Indiana Pacers are where no team likes to be -- right in the middle of the conference. Not good enough to compete for a championship, but just good enough to compete for a playoff spot. The Pacers have been there for a while, finishing with a record lower than .400 just once since 2006. That was the last time the Pacers went to the Playoffs. That is, before last year. Even...

Remember Rik Smits, the big 7’4″ center for the Indiana Pacers? It’s been a while since I’ve last heard of the “Dunking Dutchman.” However, Yahoo! Sports did a story on the 45-year-old, 300-pounder former All-Pro. Apparently, the guy is into dirt-biking now. You can take a look in the following picture here. From Yahoo!: A longtime motorcycle enthusiast...

Report: Pacers Inquire About Trade for Rajon Rondo

Despite having more than $20 million available under the salary cap, the Indiana Pacers are not expected to be in the mix for New Orleans point guard Chris Paul, who will become a free agent at the end of the season. That doesn't mean the Pacers haven taken themselves out of the running to acquire an All-Star point guard. The Pacers have had talks with the Celtics about a trade...

Patience. That’s what Indiana Pacers president Larry Bird and general manager David Morway say is their approach in using up their projected $21 million in salary cap space once the free agency period begins Dec. 9. “We’re not going to spend all of our money right away,” Bird said. “We come off more next year.” Bird and Morway [...]
