Several members of the Indiana Pacers were filmed in a heated early morning exchange with clubgoers outside an Orlando nightclub Thursday.
The players, who are in Orlando for their playoff series against the Magic, got into a verbal confrontation with a group of people outside Club 23 around 2:45am local time, TMZ reported.
The incident was reportedly sparked when a clubgoer accused 7-foot-1 center Kyrylo Fesenko of bumping into him. Cell phone footage of the incident appears to show a growing crowd directing abuse at the NBA star before he moves away.
Fesenko's teammate Danny Granger also appears to get involved before being restrained by friends.
The potential flare-up was defused when police showed up, with Granger and Fesenko calmly walking away without further incident.
A Pacers representative told TMZ, "Our players were provoked into a verbal confrontation and ended up walking away from the confrontation. To make something more out of this than what it was is ludicrous."
