The Indiana Pacers have rescinded the qualifying offer to Tyler Hansbrough.
Hansbrough will become an unrestricted free agent.
Hansbrough has played a reserve role for the Pacers since being drafted in 2009. The Pacers' decision to re-sign David West made his return unlikely.

David West has agreed to stay with the Indiana Pacers
Since signing David West two years ago, the Indiana Pacers have become one of the NBA’s toughest teams. After two years solid years with the Indiana, West and the Pacers saw themselves one game of the NBA Finals this past season. They would lose Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the eventual champion Miami Heat, but...
Indiana signed first-round draft pick Solomon Hill and free-agent guard Donald Sloan on Wednesday.
The Pacers did not release terms.
Hill was a surprise choice at No. 23 overall in last week's NBA draft. Most analysts did not believe the 6-foot-7 swingman from Arizona would be taken in the first round but the Pacers believe he's a good fit in their system.

David West Contract: 3 years, 36 million
- David West has been very important for the Pacers the last two years. He is an excellent leader and scorer, both in the post and with his mid-range jump shot and is a very solid rebounder and defender. Even in his 30′s, he is still very effective...

David West and the Indiana Pacers are finalizing a three-year deal worth $36 million, according to sources. The third season will likely be a player option.
West was first signed by the Pacers in the 2011 offseason.
West will turn 33 in August and the length of the deal was undoubtedly a concern for the Pacers.
Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert is not at all a fan of the team's new short-sleeved summer league jerseys.
He wanted to come back.
The team adamantly let it be known they wanted him back.
So, it is no shock that David West and the Indiana Pacers have reached a verbal agreement to finalize a 3-year deal, worth a reported $36 million according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Instead, the shocker could come for another member of the Pacers now that West is back.

With the addition of Danny Granger next season, this move cements the Pacers as a force in the East.
The Indiana Pacers have reached agreement with Donald Sloan on a multi-year deal.
Sloan finished last season playing in China.
Sloan is a 6'3 guard out of Texas A&M.

- Danny Granger, Paul George and Lance Stephenson will all be free agents next season, Granger, an unrestricted free agent and George and Stephenson, restricted free agents. It is obvious that they will resign George, who is an All Star, one of the best young players...
The Indiana Pacers have a standing offer to Chris Copeland.
Copeland is a restricted free agent, giving the New York Knicks the ability to match.
Copeland finally became an NBA player last season after many years in the D-League and Europe.
Copeland turned 29 in March.
The free-agency ferris wheel continues spinning, as David West goes back to the Pacers for 3 years and $36 million, and Tiago Splitter to the Spurs for 4 years and $36m. Splitter would’ve signed for more of course, but LeBron took $5million of leverage from him in the playoffs when he shoved half of his swagger into the third row.
