The NBA has announced that Miami Heat's LeBron James is the 2011-12 NBA MVP but San Antonio via: nba.comSpurs' Tony Parker and Tim Duncan also picked up some votes for the award.

Parker finished with 331 points (four first-place votes) making him fifth overall behind James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant in voting. Duncan finished with three points (one fourth-place vote) making him fourteeth in voting.

TP played exceptionally well this season for the Spurs. Not only did he make yet another All-Star appearance, he led the Spurs to the best record in the Western Conference, upped his assists to an all-time high at 7.7 per game, and steadied the team when Manu Ginobili was out of action due to injury (hand).

TD also played well considering many felt his best days were behind him. Averaging 15.4 points, 9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, Duncan showed he still is capable of being one of the best bigs in the NBA.

However, in the end, I am sure both Parker and Duncan will prefer walking away with another NBA title over this individual award.

Spurs, Duncan want George Hill to return?

'Average' defense doing job for top-seeded Spurs

Gregg Popovich doesn't remember calling these San Antonio Spurs the worst defensive bunch in his 16 seasons. ''But you might be right,'' said Popovich, laughing. In other words, it's not that far-fetched considering the defense Tim Duncan anchored in his heyday. Yet while the NBA coach of the year really did lambast this defense as his worst following a...

The San Antonio Spurs are set to face the Los Angeles Clippers in the second-round of the NBA playoffs as they continue their march towards what will hopefully be title number five for the franchise. Top 25 Toughest Players to Guard in the NBA: (25-21)

Tony Parker, Eva Longoria, Erin Barry Re-enact Grease (Music Video)

It’s kind of sad that Billy Joel divorced from the woman he wrote “Just the way you are” about. It’s probably among the most mushiest and melodramatic love songs of all time. And the real life situation not working out is just tragic. This situation on the other hand, is just unintentionally hilarious! At the time this video was made, it was cutesy funny. Today, with the...

Parker vs. Paul should be awesome... again

Four years ago today, the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Hornets were in the middle of a seven game series that was both entertaining and not.  Only one of their 2008 Western Conference Semifinal series was decided by less than ten points and more were decided by closer than 21 points with the home team winning every game except Game Seven, which the Spurs won in New Orleans...
