The Mars Reel:
When asked about whether he was unhappy on the Lakers and if he would be looking to jump-ship soon, Pau had this to say:
“No, oh, that’s radical,” Gasol said when asked whether he would request a trade following the Lakers’ 107-102 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. “I still believe. I still have faith in what we have. I still have faith that I can be a big part in helping this team succeed. Right now, I’m not being able to do that very often.”
“It’s difficult sometimes because it’s not up to me to get involved,” Gasol said. “I’m trying, but the times that I am at the elbows are the times that I get more involved and can make more plays from there, but it’s not consistent.”

You get to work for the Los Angeles Lakers. You are part of one of the most recognizable sports franchises in the world and Kobe Bryant has probably acknowledged your existence once or twice. It has to be a pretty sweet gig.
But like most good things, there is a downside.
Sometimes, your job involves hammering a 7 footers giant size 17 feet.

Over the last two years Pau Gasol has just been going through some things. He just looks battered emotionally and physically.
If a picture is worth a 1000 words the one above is worth 10,000.
After he endured his fourth benching in the fourth quarter since Mike D’Antoni was hired as coach, there is no denying Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol is having a hard time fitting in with the team he once helped win two championships.
The Lakers ultimately could decide they just can’t make it work with the former four-time All-Star; however, it won’t be Gasol pushing...
I wonder if Lakers fans are wishing if they couldn’t get Phil Jackson if they should have stuck with Mike Brown. Pau Gasol is such a bad fit for what D’Antoni is trying to do and the Lakers will have a hard time trading him because of his salary. For what it is what Pau [...]

Pau Gasol has been the subject of trade speculation since the Lakers hired Mike D'Antoni.
Pau Gasol took a hard elbow to the face during Sundays Lakers game against the Denver Nuggets, and blood was to be had. JaVale McGee, of course, was the culprit and Earl Clark was chosen by George Karl to shoot the free throws instead of Pau. Luckily the nose was not broken and Gasol will be listed as day-to-say leading up until Tuesday’s game LA Lakers vs Houston Rockets.
Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard isn't known for his free throw shooting ability, he is a career 58.4 percent from the line. But he has noticed something with many of his shots, they tend to bounce off the back of the rim.
Having noticed this, Howard has moved back about six inches behind the free-throw line Click link below to Read More!
The Minnesota Timberwolves are trying to become playoff-contenders, but they always fall short in some areas. They fell short last season due to key injuries. Now it seems like all they’re missing is a key player or two.

LOS ANGELES Congratulations to the Lakers for their almost-comeback win over the Clippers Friday night, losing 107-102 in the latest edition of The Battle of Los Angeles.
Now lets talk about why it was virtually meaningless.
Already 32 games into a mind-numbing season, a "near comeback victory" means nothing. The Lakers are 15-17 and are 11th in the Western Conference...
The Los Angeles Lakers dropped their fourth game of five Sunday, a 112-105 loss to the Denver Nuggets at the Staples Center. During the game center Dwight Howard aggravated his sprained rotator cuff in his right shoulder. He will have an MRI Monday morning, according to ESPN.

The Lakers are 15-18. They are currently 3 1/2 games below the 8th seed in the west. They head into Houston to try to snap a 3-game skid without their top 3 big men, who are all lost to injuries for at least a week. Mind you that the team is still struggling with their defensive effort and will have to stay as close to the surface of the water as possible while dealing with San Antonio...
