Los Angeles Lakers
Just one day after the Philadelphia 76ers lost Thaddeus Young for about a month, the Los Angeles Lakers will be without Pau Gasol for at least the month of February. Last night against the Brooklyn Nets, Gasol went to jump to defend a Brook Lopez shot, but got no lift and went down grabbing his foot. He stayed in the game the next possession, but you could tell he was injured. The Lakers power forward went straight to the locker room and was seen leaving the game on crutches. It turns out that he strained or might have even torn his plantar fasciitis. The Lakers are already under .500 and are playing without Dwight Howard at the moment who is also injured. If you didn't own Earl Clark before, you better go pick him up now!Earl Clark (34% Yahoo, 41.5% ESPN, 73% CBS) has been a valuable fantasy player for the past 30 days now, but has just jumped to must own status! He is averaging 13.8 points and 10.4 rebounds over his last 5 games after averaging 10 points and 8.4 rebounds dur...

More bad news for the Lakers as an MRI taken Wednesday revealed a plantar fascia tear in Pau Gasol's foot. He will reportedly be out for at least six weeks.

Gasol's Lakers future is, most likely, in a ton of jeopardy at the moment
The 2012-13 season has been a disaster in many ways for the Los Angeles Lakers.
First off, and most prevalent, is their record of 23-26 which is awful by Lakers standards and is completely not indicative of how talented they actually are. Secondly, they traded for Dwight Howard AND...
Bad news for the Lakers (23-26), who have won 6 of their last 7 games. After straining suffering a plantar fasciitis strain late in the fourth quarter of Tuesday night’s win in Brooklyn (Video), an MRI has revealed that forward, Pau Gasol, has a partial tear of his plantar fascia and is expected to miss six to eight weeks if he decides to rehab, or 10-12 weeks if he decides to...
Give Pau Gasol points for being optimistic.
Shortly before heading in for an MRI on his injured right foot on Wednesday, the Lakers big man posted a photo of himself smiling and giving two thumbs up. He tweeted that he was “hoping for good news!” A little while later, it was doubtful Gasol was all smiles.
The MRI revealed that Gasol had torn the plantar fascia in his foot and...
The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t need any more bad news this season. With Dwight Howard taking special shots in his shoulder a head coach that can’t get his team headed in the right direction and a Kobe Bryant that is asking to many questions in the teams locker room what else do the Lakers need this season? They sure didn’t need Pau Gasol falling with a foot injury. When a big...
Pau Gasol will have an MRI on Wednesday and the fear is that he tore his plantar fascia.
It’s no secret that Pau Gasol is not happy with things in LA, but are things bad enough for him to ask for a trade? Maybe, and his strained relationship with head coach Mike D’Antoni could be the main reason.
The two met a few weeks ago to try to hash out their differences.
“It’s hard to know personalities if you don’t get in touch with them,”
“It was an effort on...
