No Guts, No Glory:
It has been discussed ad nauseum that things aren’t working in Los Angeles for the Lakers this season. And Steve Nash has gone as far as to say that things probably won’t get much better in LA this season.
Lost in the Lakers struggles is the fact that Pau Gasol seems to be the odd man out in this new regime of the team. While Kobe, Nash, and Howard have logged many minutes in attempt to figure things out, Gasol has found himself parked on the bench at times. Something that Gasol doesn’t seem to like all that much.
So when TJ Simers of the LA Times spoke to Gasol about his future in LA, Gasol basically gives an indication that if certain things don’t change there will not be a future for him in LA. Namely changes at the head coaching position and in the frontcourt.
“If this coach stays and Dwight Howard remains with the Lakers,” [Simers] asked, “what about you?”
“It would be hard for me to deal with another season knowing the facts you just mentioned,” said Gasol, 32 and with one yea...

The Los Angeles Lakers have filed a complaint with the NBA regarding all the hard fouls it claims are being committed upon center Dwight Howard.
Dwight Howard should have picked another team, a team that didn’t have a Kobe on it. A team that needed a guy like Howard to be a leader. A team where his talents could have shinned. Recently I read an article stating that Howard wants to avoid the circus. Really? If so, then why did he pick L.A. as his destination? He should have known every move he and his Lakers teammates...
Dwight Howard's Twitter profile proclaims he is, After the Ring!
The reality is, that should be changed to, Such drama!
When you consider the Los Angeles Lakers season and all that drama that has ensued, you cannot help but look at the NBA calendar and notice that time could be running out on their postseason hopes. Adding to the theatrics is the fact that Howard -- the man...
The Los Angeles Lakers secured a big win last night against the Brooklyn Nets. Without Dwight Howard and Metta World Peace, one would think that the team would be happy with the result of the game last night. Coach Mike D’antoni had other thoughts. With rumors floating that Mike D’antoni was not happy with [...]
Well, the hardships of this season just continue to pile up for the Lakers. Forward Pau Gasol left yesterday’s game with an apparent right foot injury, and the news is not good.
Injuries continue to plague the Lakers big men this season. Pau Gasol will be out 6-8 weeks after suffering a partial tear of his plantar fascia. The injury happened late in the fourth quarter Tuesday night as the Lakers matched up against the Nets. The Lakers are already without the services of back up forward Jordan Hill and Dwight Howard who missed his third game in a row because...

Gasol's Lakers future is, most likely, in a ton of jeopardy at the moment
The 2012-13 season has been a disaster in many ways for the Los Angeles Lakers.
First off, and most prevalent, is their record of 23-26 which is awful by Lakers standards and is completely not indicative of how talented they actually are. Secondly, they traded for Dwight Howard AND Steve Nash...
Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak believes his center Dwight Howard is taking to many hard fouls. Kupchak filed a complaint with the NBA regarding hard fouls on Howard.
Pau Gasol had 23 points and 10 rebounds and was the last line of defense for Los Angeles, contesting Detroit's last-second alley-oop attempt and helping the Lakers hold on for a 98-97 victory over the Pistons on Sunday.
Los Angeles blew an 18-point third-quarter lead but went back ahead for good on Kobe Bryant's driving three-point play with 1:09 remaining. That gave the...
Dwight Howard said that he will not put his career at undue risk to save the Lakers' season.
Kobe Bryant had 21 points and eight rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers overcame the absences of Dwight Howard and Metta World Peace, and the loss of Pau Gasol to beat the Brooklyn Nets 92-83 on Tuesday night.
Antawn Jamison, starting for the suspended World Peace, made the go-ahead basket during a closing 14-3 run for the Lakers, who have won three straight and six of their last...
