It wasn't the worst-case scenario, but it's pretty close. Wednesday night in Memphis, the Los Angeles Clippers failed to close out the Memphis Grizzlies, losing by 12. But more importantly, the Clippers might be without their best two players. Blake Griffin sprained his left knee, and Chris Paul strained his right hip flexor in the second half of the Clippers' loss. "The pain scares you," Griffin said. "But it's not because it hurts; it's because you don't know why." Griffin, who missed his entire rookie season with a fractured left patella, will have an MRI on his knee Thursday. Paul, on the other hand, seemed optimistic he'd be able to play Friday. "I'll be ready," he said before adding that he and Griffin are "tough guys."

NBA attracting more younger viewers this season

Blake Griffin's dunk contest winner - a soaring jam over a car during last year's NBA All-Star weekend - set off more social media buzz than a Super Bowl ad. ''Once in a lifetime,'' said Tim Chaney, the marketing director for Kia, which was lucky enough to have the electrifying moment fused with its product before a national TV audience. What's less...

Clippers await updates on Griffin, Paul injuries

By late Thursday morning, Clippers All-Star power forward Blake Griffin, who suffered a sprained left knee during Wednesday nights Game 5 of the playoffs against Memphis, had yet to get an MRI on the knee. But the Clippers were expecting Griffin to get the test done sometime this afternoon and to get the results back soon after. Griffin had indicated after Game 5 that his knee was...

Griffin's physical series with Grizzlies could bode well for Spurs

Los Angeles Clippers center Blake Griffin has been bruised and battered in his first round series with the Memphis Grizzlies. He's been guarded by both Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph in what has been a very physical matchup. The Grizzlies big men have left Griffin not only bruised and scratched, but also sore, according to Yahoo Sports. It was nearly midnight when Blake Griffin...

Players On The Clippers Admit To Flopping

The Los Angeles Clippers went from mediocre to an instant playoff contender after the arrival of Chris Paul back in December of 2011.  Their young star, Blake Griffin, dubbed themselves as “Lob City”, which was fitting to their style of play. With the Clippers currently playing the Grizzlies in the 1st-round of the NBA Playoffs, the young Clippers team have been engaging in...

Chris Webber warns Blake Griffin to stop flopping so much (Video)

Blake Griffin may be one of the most physical and ferocious players in the NBA, but he’s developing a reputation for being a flopper. Chris Webber played with known flopper Vlade Divac on the Sacramento Kings, and he understands that’s not a reputation a player wants. That’s why he warned Griffin about flopping so much after the All-Star forward acted to get a call in his...

Chris Webber calls out Blake Griffin for Flopping

Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin had his best game of the playoffs but the talk after the game was about him flopping. During the game TNT broadcaster and former player Chris Webber called out Griffin for his acting. Chris Webber Calls Out Blake Griffin For Flopping

Blake Griffin flops. The Los Angeles Clippers flop. NBA players flops. However, there is flopping and then there is FLOPPING. However, some see his theatrics and  his flopping  — in this instance he flopped (Marc Gasol took the foul) as [...]

Grizzlies-Clippers Preview

The stubborn Memphis Grizzlies aren't the only obstacles in the Los Angeles Clippers' path to closing out a rare playoff series victory. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul are banged-up heading into Game 6, and Caron Butler continues to play with a broken left hand. The Clippers could have earned some much-needed rest with a win in Game 5 Wednesday night. Instead, they lost 92...

Charles Barkley discusses Blake the flopper Griffin

Blake Griffin is a spectacular athlete. He's the greatest pure dunker since Shawn Kemp was a Sonic, his YouTube comedy videos are hilarious, and he's even got me respecting Kia Motors a little bit. His post game isn't quite there yet, but I think it'll come eventually, and he just went for 30 the other night before fouling out. But, he is also a pretty blatant flopper...

Starting 5: Spurs resting, Clips (almost) advancing & Blake breaks out

Every morning, we'll give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day. 1:  San Antonio gets to rest The Utah Jazz gave it their best shot.  They really did.  And going into the series, some of the talk was about how the Jazz size could expose a weakness on the Spurs and give them more problems than an 8-seed should.  Ummm... no. The Spurs survived...

Clippers-Grizzlies Preview

Now with their egos bruised, they're just focused on avoiding elimination in the first round by the Los Angeles Clippers. Memphis hosts the Clippers on Wednesday...
